More Unrest in Ferguson Overnight After Michael Brown Memorial Burns

Brian Kelly (@brpkelly) September 24, 2014 7:26 AM

FERGUSON, Mo. (KMOX) - Demonstrators and police officers faced off in Ferguson again overnight.

At one point, an estimated 150 to 200 demonstrators were on West Florissant.

Shots were heard, but no one was hit. Then looters hit the Beauty Town store for a third time in just over a month.

Juan Santos works at the store which had hung a sign reading, “Beauty Town is Back,” and is now boarded up again.

“We’re just gonna board it back again, and just go on,” he says.

Fires were set, but did little damage, at the Whistle Stop in the old train station on Florissant Road and the auto repair shop on Chambers that works on police cars.

A half-dozen protestors were arrested after some threw rocks and bottles at police who tried to clear West Florissant.

The demonstrations were apparently sparked by the early Tuesday morning fire that destroyed one of the Michael Brown memorials on Canfield Drive. Some believe police set the fire.

Police believe it was started by candles.

“We’re all saddened by the fire that was reported at one of the Michael Brown Memorials this morning and are trying to obtain as much information as possible to determine what happened,” Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson said in a statement. “At this time the cause is unknown.”

The investigation continues.ouis.cbslocal.com/2014/09/24/more-unrest-in-ferguson-overnight-after-michael-brown-memorial-burns/

loot , torch and burn out the folks that will give you a job and then complain about not having any jobs.

Looted and burned out 3 times ... at some point they are going to run out of money to rebuild.

Let's label all black people looters and criminals. That'll help.

Sorry, that comment is in response to this part:

Clearly looters are criminals and have no interest in being employed. That's not limited to being black, nor is it fair to suggest that the entire community is taking part in, or complicit with looting. So, yeah, some people are making a bad situation worse but let's not pretend that it's anything other than what it is, the criminal element taking advantage of the situation.

With a running start on bowing and apologizing to our enemies after he took office; then, following up with latte salute and having no plan for how to handle ISIS, this putz of a president stands before the UN and apologizes for a case currently being investigated in Ferguson. Forgive the latte salute, but this dude is whacked in the middle of a s'more sandwich.

You're wasting your breath. LIB made his mind up long ago about how he feels about black people.

Obama’s condemnation of Ferguson, Missouri, during UN talk was a mistake

By Richard GrenellPublished September 24, 2014
President Obama spoke Wednesday to the United Nations General Assembly in his annual foreign policy address to the world body. Speaking after the Brazilian president but before Uganda’s leader, Obama spoke for 31 minutes on Russia, Asia, Ebola, Iran and climate change.
Eighteen minutes into his speech, Obama mentioned ISIS. Then, he went on to talk about “violent extremism” (he never mentioned “Islamic extremism”). But after talking about terrorism and “taking action against immediate threats,” Obama transitioned to calling out America’s “failure” and “our own racial and ethnic tensions” in “the small American city of Ferguson, Missouri.”
Obama Brings Up Ferguson at U.N.
10:32 AM, SEP 24, 2014 • BY DANIEL HALPER
In his United Nations speech, President Obama will bring up the summer shooting in Ferguson, Missouri.
"I realize that America’s critics will be quick to point out that at times we too have failed to live up to our ideals; that America has plenty of problems within our own borders. This is true," Obama will say, according to prepared text of his address.
"In a summer marked by instability in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, I know the world also took notice of the small American city of Ferguson, Missouri – where a young man was killed, and a community was divided. So yes, we have our own racial and ethnic tensions. And like every country, we continually wrestle with how to reconcile the vast changes wrought by globalization and greater diversity

Some of the more radical elements in Ferguson were heard shouting, "No Justice, Mo Nike!" Which may mean, if the outcome of the investigation is not favorable to us, we believe we will be able to obtain more sports shoes.

comments:

1. I told ya - Ferguson needs to be burnt to the ground, in a 3 mile radius from where Mr. Brown was killed. only then can folk feel better.

2. New Rumour - Holder will be running for Mayor of Ferguson during the next campaign.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
