Georgia Legalizes Handgun Vending Machines

Georgia has become the first state in the union to legalize handgun vending machines.

In a ceremony today in Atlanta, Gov. Nathan Deal signed the Firearms Freedom and Accessibility Act (FFAA), which allows the sale of handguns in automated machines that accept cash, credit and debit cards.

The machines will be installed in grocery stores, convenience stores, bars, schools, airports and gas stations. They aren’t required to verify buyers’ identity and won’t perform background checks.

“Millions of people in Georgia lack access to quality firearms,” the governor said in a signing statement. “This bill will finally bring handguns from top manufacturers into every neighborhood and hopefully every household.

“By helping more Georgians to defend themselves, we expect this bill to lower crime significantly. By the end of my second term murder, rape and armed robbery should be nearly eradicated.”

In other news Georgia has implemented for any persons passing a means test, they will be able to pickup their Obama phone and a gun at the same location!

The state king has also determined that guns don't actually kill people....fast moving bullets do. Expect to hear a proclamation in the coming days whether lead, gunpowder, or individuals with fingers will be outlawed in the state. To ensure future contraband does not enter the state, there will be chain gangs (from regional debtors prisons which have seen a massive increase in population since 2008) working around the clock to implement a mote beginning immediately.

If I understand you correctly, do you mean that guns do no act upon their own volition? They require a will, and intent to point at something and physically pull the trigger; at which point the gun goes 'bang' at various levels depending on caliber, make, model, or sound suppression. And, then, after 'said' bang, the bullet moves real fast in the direction pointed?

Interesting device. A couple of questions:

1. If someone fires a bullet at you, will there be enough time to duck, move, bob or weave to avoid getting hit by it?

2. Can these guns be used to protect yourself and your family against violent aggressors, rapists, robbers, and racists?

3. If you shoot them, can you get the bullet back, or what's left of it to proudly display on your front door or bumper sticker?
