You HAVE to include her as a dependent on your forms if you get married, same for the new child, even if you don't want to take her with. You will get disqualified if you don't.

I can only assume the people you know who lost out on the visa after getting married couldn't prove it was a genuine relationship and were denied on suspicion of a green card marriage. I'd say a baby is pretty solid proof of a genuine relationship, and if you've been together than long you will have other proof too.

Also if you do not bring her with under DV it will be a much longer and much more expensive process to bring her and the child later. Marry her, update your forms as necessary, and take the proof of relationship to the interview.

If you are married at the interview and later file for your wife who wasn't on your interview they can find that you misrepresented yourself and take your green card away. NEVER lie to immigration. People from high fraud countries mostly see winning the DV as a free pass to the US for 2 people , and have been known to present neighbors and siblings as spouses. As long as you have a valid relationship an impending child is more than enough reason to suddenly marry. ( Although it really isn't proof of a bona fide relationship just of having sex )

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

If you think you do not have enough proof for the consulate, you still have to add her to your case as your spouse, even though she is not immigrating with you. But you will still have to explain to the consulate why she is not immigrating with you!

Add her to your case. When you go for the interview, take all proof of your relationship, including photos from your three years together, phone bills of all your conversations in three years, emails, chat transcripts, tickets of holidays together, you get the gist. You will have 2 minutes to prove your case is genuine.
