AOS Biometrics Expired

So.....Just got a biometrics appointment letter that stated that my fingerprint card on file with USCIS has expired and in order for USCIS to continue processing your application, it will be necessary to have your fingerprints retaken.

We have been waiting on AOS approval for over 21 months. We have completed every step that can be taken and the only response that we get from all is Background Checks not completed.

Well at least we know that they are working on our application. I expect an RFE next for medical. Also, we have moved from Acceptance for 21 months to Initial Review. Progress?????

Does anyone know what's next approval without an interview or interview?

Biometrics are valid for 15 months only.

No one here can tell you whether or not you will have an interview or be approved without one.

Its been more than 15 months, just wanted to ask, if anyone else had expired Biometrics and what happened next?

You receive another appointment and from there will either receive a straight approval in the mail, or notification of an interview at your local office.

That sucks that it is taking so long for you. Do you have EAD and AP already?

Update: completed appt for biometrics. We received three letters for his appt, two had a code 3. This time the fingerprint system stated when each finger had an acceptable print with a green light. Fingers crossed that everything works out.
