@ anapetcu your US citizen's spouse proof of citizenship is what they are interested in - US Passport or Naturalization Certificate. His birth certificate isn't important to your application (it was important to HIS immigration journey); sure have a copy of it like you did in your original application but no need to legalize it.

Thanks a lot, NikeS! That saves me a lot of trouble!

Hello everyone, my husband and I have received our notice for our interview. The list of things you have to bring with you is unbelievable (haven't we already handed this stuff in more than once???) My question is what did everyone bring with them? Some of the items say "unless already submitted" which I feel is pretty much everything!

so as of tonight uscis.gov says that my welcome noticed has been mailed to my address and my green card has been registered and it will be receive on April 5, but i guess it will be arriving sooner that this date.

and here's some of the questions i remember, although the interviewer is pretty nice and we just have a normal conversation.

we both asked the names of our parents and sibling

name and birthdate of my husband children

how, when and where did we meet

when we got married

how man times he visited me in the PHILIPPINES

how many people living in our house right now

he ask for joint account, insurances, pictures and anything thats both on our names.

our home address and telephone

how long is my husbands business

what is the nature of his business

my husband's b-day and place of birth

asked about our vacation and travel

its more on a usual conversation and the trick is not show you are nervous and just make sure you guys really know each other.

Guys good luck and you can do it with God's prayer and faith!

Hi everyone ... am new this thread but not a new poster.

Congratulations to those who received their Green Cards.

I filed for AOS for my husband in the beginning of September, National Benefits Center received our application Sept 8, 2014. Then my husband got his EAD Combo card mid Oct.

Now we're just waiting ... and it's been a long wait and not a peep from USCIS.

Should I be worried or just keep waiting? There has been no RFE ... I tripled checked all the paperwork before mailing it out the applications.

And when I check USCIS site it just says about our case:

On September 10, 2014, we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSC**********. Our National Benefits Center location is working on your case. We mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

What actions should I take?

HI there. Your timeline is exactly ours. Our current status is also exactly like yours. We have inquired. We have had our congressman inquire (due to job requiring travel to canada....aka need that green card). The response that USCIS gave our congressman (they didn't give us any of this information even though we inquired) was that while we are a potential interview waiver case, my husband's case is currently still pending the security checks. My assumption is that once the security checks clear then the online status will change to "ready for interview" even if they plan to waive our interview.

All that to say, your status and timeline is not abnormal. We are in that boat with you.
