Thank you everybody :)

My I-485 was approved!!

Here is my experience.

Our interview time was 2.15 but we got there 40minute earlier. Everyone was super nice and polite. We hang out in the building till 1.40pm and went in to submit our appointment letter.

We were called in by a nice friendly Asian young man. He ask are you the last appointment for the day with a big smile.. We replied YES. I guess he was tired for the day and just want to go home. He smiled.

He ask if there's anything we want to add and we gave him everything we had to add.

He ask for ID's and did an oat.

Question 1. How do you meet.

Where did you buy your ring?

He ask who are in the pictures and ask me to give him 10 pictures.

He was basically taking to my wife about cameras because my wife is a photographer and the IO has different cameras too.. I was just quiet during there conversation .. He printed my approval letter and explain how it work.

My online status change after an hour to card in production.

Good luck to everyone who's waiting to go through this process. My I-485 was approved!!

Awesome news Iris. Congratulations. Did you get questioned about your I-94 that stated you left the country even though you didn't?

He didn't mention anything about my I-94. The only comment he made when I handed it to him was "so april was the last time you enter the country...." And I said yes april 20 something and he said 23rd!

I was kind of worried about him asking why did I stay here or something because we didn't do K-1 but he didn't make any kind of comment about it. Also when we sent the forms my husband wrote a letter explaining the reasons why he proposed and asked me to stay so I guess there wasn't anytning for him to mention.

But yeah not problem at all with I-94 that's good information for eveybody else in same situation :)

Thanks so much everybody.

We got approved!!

After waiting for more than 2 hours in a freezing waiting room the IO called our number.

He was the nicest man, professional and friendly.

Our interview last less than 10 minutes. He makes us swear.. Then asked for documentation my husband gave him his DL and I gave him my EAD.

He asked if we still live in the same address... If the signature from 1 document was from my husband... Asked if I had a job I said no, I just got my SSC a week ago and I still need to learn to drive.. And my husband said that's the next step and they both laughed. Then asked about my husband's job and talked for a little bit about it and random experiences. Asked me what date we got married. And if I went to honey moon I said not my husband said we are still saving money for the real thing, ceremony and honey moon and then the IO started talking about his honey moon with his wife lol.

He asked for the most recent bank statement my I-94 and if I had pictures, he looked at all the pictures ( I had aroun 90 ) and asked where a couple of pictures where and said ok I will approve you 2 right now.. Briefly mentioned about ROC and in 3 years I can apply for citizenship, said God bless you and joked about my folder being organized and after that I dropped the folder and we have to pick up the documents Hahahah

We were just getting out the elevator when my husband got 2 text messages from uscis saying the card is in production :) so happy!!

There was a point I was so nervous while waiting and it was sooooo easy, he didn't look at any other of my documents or asked about anything else not even the real ones of anything. I had a good folder with post-its and what not he saw I was ready

Congrats!! :)

I requested assistance from our Congressman the other day about my I485 which has been pending for almost 4 months now. Just today while Im taking lunch I receive an email from the Congressman's office regarding USCIS reply on my I485 and here it goes:

From USCIS National Benefits Center Congressional Unit:

Good morning Andrew,

A review of our systems shows Case MSC14917******, A# A2061*******, DOB 11/*******, Form I-485, filed by Mun************* was received on 9/24/14. This case has been identified as a possible interview waiver case and is currently being held at the NBC pending a field office review. The interview waiver cases are being shipped to the local USCIS field offices based on field office capacity. At this time the processing time is approximately 9-12 months.

I hope this information is helpful.

Thank you,

Congressional Unit

U.S. Department of Homeland Security

National Benefits Center

I am praying and hoping that it will not take that long but I wouldn't be surprised anymore at least now I will just have to wait. To be in this predicament is really not easy and has been very depressing. According to our congressman's office staff applicants who didn't receive RFE's are best candidate for interview waivers as they met the criteria set forth by USCIS. If only I knew this is the case I could have not complete the documents needed so Il get an RFE...there could have been a possibility that my GC is already okay by now.

Life is really life....good luck and to those who are same with my case...Welcome to the club. :dancing: :joy: :dancing: :joy: :dancing: :joy: :dancing::rofl:

Short answer: No you don't qualify for the stamp.

If you are on interview waiver, in a few months you get an email notice of your green card being mailed and receive the card days later. Rarely, a few cases get scheduled for an interview just like everyone else.

You would only get the stamp in your passport if you go into your local uscis office for an interview or if there is a pressing need to show your permanent resident status before the card gets to you. Of course you would have to been approved prior to requesting the stamp.

I'm a little late with this but my husband got the notice of potential interview waiver (January 3). He managed to get his DL before his passport expired (a week before), so at least there's that.
