AOS/EAD was accepted on Sept. 11

Bio was done on Oct. 9

EAD was approved on Oct. 9

EAD arrived in the mail today!

My case status for AOS seems to be stuck at "Acceptance"

Congrats!!!! Unless I missed someone's coment you are the first person to get EAD on hand!!

I think AOS will be stuck at acceptance until there is an interview date

Just received my biometrics appointment as well!!!! So excited!!! I will attempt early walk in on Monday!!!!! Appointment is for 10/29. Hopefully I can get it done on Monday!!!!! Do you guys know what time it opens? I'll be there first thing in the morning!!!!!! Can't wait!!!

I just received my biometrics letter. About "early walk ins" where shoukd i call so i know that my local uscis accepts walk ins? if they do accept walk ins, do i need to get an appointment from them and reschedule earlier or i will jist show up anytime i want?

Early walk in just means showing there before the date so you don't need to change it.

take your letter, documentation and go early. If they admit it it will be better to be there when they open so there is no people.

There is a link here in the forum where people mention what offices are walk-in friendly and what offices don't allow it. You can check it for your area

Thanks a lot! I found an earlier post for the early walk in at the chula vista office! It's from 2009 but hopefully it's still the same!!! There it said they open at 8 so I'll be there at 7.15 or so!!!! Can't wait!!!!!

thanks. my son's ead got rejected because i failed to sign the form. i resent it and delivered yesterday. i havent got any notification yet that they already accepted the application. should i wait for them to notify me that they already accepted my son's ead then get biometrics early or i will just go and have my biometrics done without knowing if they have my son's ead application? what would you suggest?

thanks. my son's ead got rejected because i failed to sign the form. i resent it and delivered yesterday. i havent got any notification yet that they already accepted the application. should i wait for them to notify me that they already accepted my son's ead then get biometrics early or i will just go and have my biometrics done without knowing if they have my son's ead application? what would you suggest?

So your son don't have the letter with a date for the biometrics right?? Only you??? To do the early walk in you need the letters with the appointment to show to the security man at the door. Then he decides if you can do it before your date or not but you need the letters

he also have the biometrics letter. the difference is that i have 2 barcodes for aos and ead and he only got one.

i cant call them to check if they accept walk ins? the local office is a bit far from here so i have to make sure that they do accept walk ins ?

I guess you could call and ask how they work, if it's not very close I think it's too risky to just drive there to see if they do it or not.

I'm not sure about your son but I assume if he does the biometrics they will use it for both documents ( AP/EAD) once they get your RFE, but I'm just guessing. I don't think they will send another letter for him you know when they get the paper signed if the biometrics are done they will just approve it without need of having him doing it again since he will be already registered in the system.

I'm just saying my thoughts I hope if someone knows more helps about it

I sent my offer letter and start date to my congress woman and I also provided the importance of my job to my family and how my job position benefits the environment. (my job is in the renewable energy industry) maybe, just maybe my job tittle also helped USCIS expedite my EAD process.

I am so grateful this part is over and I can start work. I've been working since I was 16years old, so the past months sitting down playing video games while my new wife worked has been a bit odd for me to process. Im glad this part is over and I wish everyone's EAD/AP goes smoothly as well.
