Hi there,

I just got married here to my husband in the US and filed my concurrent application on Aug 11, got a received notification on the 19. Today I got a letter for a biometrics appointment with only my name on the letter. Does my husband need to go with me? Is it his appoinment too or he'd get a separate letter for his appointment?

Just the beneficiary needs to go. The US citizen is not needed for that appointment.

Only the beneficiary responsible for AOS though the US citizen has to submit affidavit of support (I-864). Other words, the US citizen won't received any letters regarding adjustment of status his/her spouse. My husband had to go with me since he was the one who drove me to Kendall, Miami.

On rare occasions the petitioning US citizen / LPR receives a biometrics appointment if they are suspected of issues under the Adam Walsh Act (which chiefly concerns sexual offences against minors); 99.9% of people do not have to worry about this, however.

Spouse does not need to be at your biometrics, just your interview.
