Hi all, quick question. My fiancé and I submitted all of our documents for the I-129f on June 4th, we got an RFE on aug 8th. Our attorney called up as he couldn't see anything missing or wrong and within a few days the status changed to processing within 60 days I can't remember the exact message. Now today, it's reverted back to RFE as of 21st :( is it normal to have a second request? Just the delays are really getting to me

I haven't actually got the letter or anything a it's a mystery to me as of now. I think it gets sent to my fiancé but he's away with family at the minute. Just wondering why it would be requested a second time

It is pure speculation to comment on the substance of the RFE letters without the benefit of actually viewing the letters.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)

The attorney just told you that nothing was missing? The attorney needs to respond to the RFE, or you will be denied. The RFE letter will say exactly what was missing, and something was missing, if you got RFE. It sounds like the attorney didn't reply to the first one, or at least replied poorly if you got a second.

Your attorney called who? You? or USCIS? If you did in fact receive an RFE something is missing in your file. It could have been something missing because you forgot to include it, or it could be something that was misplaced on their end...either way they are missing something.

He called the uscis, he said they were being "wacky" and when he called them they quickly corrected it to his credit. But now it's been requested again, he's emailed today to say it will take around a week for him to get the letter to day what's missing exactly. I was just wondering if it was normal to get two RFE's

You need to find anyway possible to get a hold of your fiance and have him or his attorney track down the RFEs

as USCIS will not easily take any excuse for delays or incorrect responses.

Just last week I was reading some of the USCIS rejected cases, and most of ones I read were

people not following instructions (i.e., not replying to RFE in a timely manner, or not replying with correct information)

For example, someone submitted G-325 instead of G-325A, and RFE requested G-325A,

but the petitioner just sent the same copy of G-325, so the petition got rejected immediately.

On your first RFE did your lawyer get the letter? Or did your lawyer simply call USCIS after finding out your status online changed to RFE?

If the same thing is requested the 2nd time, it means that same item was (and still is) missing from your petition. It is also likely its the same RFE, not a 2nd one. Its doubtful you would have received a 2nd RFE for the exact same thing, you would have received a denial instead.

My impression is that the lawyer never even looked at the letter, he just called them and tricked them into saying nevermind. But of course, that doesn't work. Something is missing.

I'd be surprised if any lawyer could trick the processing center into advancing it. I'm just really deflated that it's been suspended again, and to think I was close to approval is even more upsetting :( the wait for the letter is gonna be a kick

The first RFE was for evidence if our meeting. I was working in the USA at the time and I sent pay cheques from the place I worked and copies of the student visa from my passport and plane tickets/ boarding passes to place me at the same place and time as my fiancé. He provided hotel bills and we both had affadavits to say how and when we met. I hoped that was sufficient?

As you used an attorney for this, your attorney received the RFE and should email or mail you a copy of it. It will list specifics about the RFE and what you need to do. This is fairly basic, your attorney doesn't sound like he is doing his job...
