There's just nothing quite like the freshly roasted and freshly brewed Ethiopian coffee that Nani makes from time to time. Ethiopians know their coffee. After all, coffee is named after the region in which it originated: Ethiopia's Kaffa region. They still produce some of the finest coffee beans in the world.

Oh and to those that think paying a premium on oily brews made from burned beans are getting something good: Starbucks sucks so fcuking bad I can't believe they are still making a dime.

my favourite kind of coffee is no coffee  I don't like the smell or the taste :P

I do make hubby his coffee every morning before he goes to the work though... right now we are using Maxwell House and he likes it with some French Vanilla cream....

I like the morning blend from Au Bon Pain, but I usually have my own at home, made with a French press - I don't know how I lived without that for so long!

I don't know why but the french press just comes out so weak when I make it. I must not be doing it right or something. I use a cuisinart coffee maker that grinds the beans right in it and then pours the grounds into a filter thingy and then makes the coffee into a thermal container. It's awesome!

I agree that bluemountain is the best. When I took my daughters to Jamaica two years ago I got some authentic Blue Mountain coffee and it was sooo amazing!!! Even there though the price was sky high!!! They sell Blue Mountain coffee at TJ Maxx here but it's not the same at all.

Oh, I'm gonna bowdlerise that now.

Actually, the best coffee I've had was in Yercaud and Mysore City which are both in the Nilgiris (derived from Sanskrit for "blue mountains").

Next time I go to India, I'll bring back a few kilos.

Tim Hortons! But of course I now live in the USA so there aren't any near by:( But I have a couple of canisters of Tim's coffee and Hot chocolate so I'm good to go... (not that I am much of a coffee drinker but anyways..)

WRONG (on bolded area)--several in Detroit area (and also up to Flint and Saginaw, and as far south as Toledo).

None that I saw--maybe you can supply the right word (verb) in lieu of "bowdlerise"?

Well.... what is it that you want to do to the pic.... change a word or words to reflect something about the Nilgris that you mentioned ? If so, I guess you could say you would "alter" it, or even better -- "chop" it (slang for "photoshop.")

"Bowdlerize" specifically means covering the naughty bits.

There was nothing at all I wanted to do to the pic--just spin off from it from "Blue Mountain" (which I did anyway).

I find Starbucks is often too oily as well and I get serious indigestion. I do better with their mild blend. Dunkin Donuts mild or vanilla flavoured is alright, but yeah, I like Tim Horton's best:-). Panera Bread Hazelnut is good too, and if I have no other options I take a QuickTrip costarica blend coffee 1/3 cup to 2/3 cup vanilla milk steamer -more latte than coffee but tasty. Wish we had Timmie's here in the South - I am going to run out of my Christmas trip supply soon.

Not too fond of "Charbucks" m'self. I am OUT of my Timmy's. Time to either make a passionate plea to my MIL or order it online. There's got to be a way to bring Tim's to the South. ;)
