I sent my original I-129F to Texas a week ago & still haven't heard they even recieved it yet. Yes I included the G-1145. I look at other times on timelines & it's days. Now, it will be a week tomorrow, is there cause for concern?

How did you send it? USPS snail mail, USPS Priority Mail, FedEx, UPS? Did you get tracking, signature receipt or didn't care?

A week isn't very long to be expecting to hear something from USCIS, can take upwards of 30 days to get notice sometimes.

I sent it regular USPS, on a Saturday, to be delivered on Monday. Isn't the first NOA, just to say that they recieved the packet? That should happen in days, not weeks....

Days? Not likely. Did you have tracking? I have read of some on here not getting there NOA1 for a month.

I suggest you relax... this is a process of patience. ;)

Your just starting your process and up pops the question about "how long will". A bit of advice. Nothing through this process is going to be like anyone else. Yours is unique. It will take what it takes. This is where we all started practicing patience.

Having said that, if you sent it with a receipt then you will probably know that they received it before you actually get the NOA 1. If you didn't send it with a receipt requirement then you are at their mercy to when they will notify you.

It's still early. Patience.

If you send by regular USPS mail, it could take longer than that Monday for them to receive it. The only way to know for sure when they received it, is if you had signature confirmation or some way to track it. My petition was received April 4 and it was April 9 that I received a text message saying my petition was received. It was April 15 when I got the hardcopy NOA1.

So if your petition was in fact received on Monday, then you may hear something by this coming Monday the 18th.

Another advice: relax! There is a lot of waiting to be expected in this process, and you need to have a lot of patience.

You will find out through the course of the whole process that receiving the NOA1 will most likely be the "quickest" part of the process. As others said, you should start flexing the patience muscle as early as now, coz the rest of the process would drive you crazy if you don't :)
