Hi everyone,

Me and my fiancé are just about ready to send our I-129F but want to know, how do we tell which service center will be the one processing our application? Probably a silly question but I want to check processing times so we have a rough idea...

Thanks in advance!

It depends on the state where the petitioner (USC) is located. Please fill in your profile information.

Ok, I guess I forgot to update my profile information. He lives in Alaska right now...

It's probably at CSC.

Washington State Petitioner here for I-130, ours wound up in Texas, so there are exceptions to the rule

That's not an exception. The OP asked about I-129F, and you're talking about

Let me clarify, whether 129 or 130 petitions, the routing by state is the same. For the benefit of the original poster I was pointing out that in my case, and in many others I have seen the publish routing by state is not followed. I don't want them to be surprised by an exception to the routing rule.

How do you figure? I-130s also have Nebraska and Vermont that handle petitions, meaning the workload is split four ways (or five, if you count the National Benefits Center). This is not the case for I-129Fs, which only have two main service centers (TSC and CSC).

That part is true...there are more options for different. But in my case Washington State was "published" to be routed to CSC and was routed to the TSC instead. It is probable, but not certain that they will route to the CSC.

Your service center is generally determined by your location. As was stated earlier, there are exceptions and not all cases are routed by your location.

Okay, please dont kill me :) I received my NOA for the I130 and it said it was being sent to the NSC, Now I filed the I129F today and sent it to the Texas Drop Box, did I do that correctly as the immigration website led me to believe that all I129f's go to Texas.
