interview notice in mail today!!!

HI all,

Just checked my mail and was totally surprised to see a letter from USCIS. I thought it is RFE although I didnt see online nor did I get any email for the same. I opened the mail and found "notice to appear for initial interview" for 13th march 2006. My DO is Columbus, OH. My timeline is in my signature....There is no update on my EAD yet. But, the date on the interview notice is 12th Jan which is a day after my biometrics... :dance:

Now, on with gathering documents for proof of relationship :)

AOS timeline - from F1 & wife (USC)

485,130,765 mailed - dec 18

applications on file - dec 21 (day 1)

check cashed - dec 23 (day 3)

NOA for 485,130 - dec 26 (day 6)

all three touched - dec 27 (day 7)

biometrics letter - dec 30 (day 10)

all three touched - jan 3 2007 (day 14)

all three touched - jan 5 2007 (day 16)

I-130 and I-765 touched - jan 10 2007 (day 21) - HUH? What about 485???

biometrics appt - jan 11 2007 (day 22) - DONE (went early - got done in 5 mins!!)

I-765 touched - Feb 27 2007 (day 69) - Thank you Lord!!!

I-765 touched and APPROVED - March 2 2007 (day 72) - Card Production Ordered!!!

Interview day - March 13 2007 - APPROVED!! took less than 15 mins!!!!!

Very cool... We're right behind you. Yesterday we received our biometircs appointment letter and I'm suspecting that our interview date (if necessary) will be set very soon. Cheers to you!!!

thats awsome, your so lucky, but hey im guessing that you had your package squared away from the start so they didnt have to stuff around. Good on you. :thumbs:

I think it all depends upon the load on the local district office. I am sure there are v few people AOSing from Columbus Ohio. Not to mention, it also depends upon complete initial paperwork (no RFE) and no error on side of USCIS asking for initial evidence docs which were already submitted properly!!!

I dont see any updates on EAD though...It might be one of those cases now that since the GC interview is so early, they just eat the EAD money and dont process it.... :wacko:
