I read everywhere that they want certified copies of the marriage certificate. So I ordered extra copies from the clerk's office. It costs a lot of money for paper, but better safe than sorry!

Thank you so much, I will do the same and order 2 extra.

I have one more question for you. How long it took you to get online I-94 form from the date of arrival to USA? it is been now 10 days and all I can find online is old info for my arrivals

Any idea?

Thanks :)

Huh, it should already be available. I would call CBP, see if you can find anything out from them.

Also, like Harpa said, a simple copy might work, but... I just played it safe.

Not a 'might work'. It does work. All that is asked for is a photocopy of the marriage certificate you receive back from the court after your marriage is registered. It is in the form instructions.

Page 2 > Copies. Unless specifically required that an original document be filed with an application, a legible photocopy may be submitted.

Page 4 > Based on admission as the K-1 fiancé(e) of a U. S. citizen and subsequent marriage to that citizen Attach a copy of the fiancé(e) petition approval notice, a copy of your marriage certificate, and your Form I-94, Arrival/Departure Document.
