We have our marriage certificate, we love and respect each other, I have evidence of me paying her rent and also sending her feeding money. The age difference was our beginning challenges but we have over come that now.

When were you last together?

What advice do you want? You already had a failed interview, your petition was reinstated, and you had another interview. They already suspect you of fraud, so they are going to do additional checks on you until they feel they can make a decision. There is nothing you can do now, after the interview. Your chance to change things already happened. You did what you could, and now you wait. That's all there is. Good luck.

Ben,

> The age difference was our beginning challenges but we have over come that now.

You may have, yes, but not perhaps not the Consular Officer.

If I remember correctly, a big age difference is "not standard" in Nigeria, so if a man marries a (much) older woman, that WILL raise a big red flag to the CO. This might be the reason why they are being difficult about it.

So, as another member already wrote.. you did what you could in the second interview, now you can only wait for their decision!

Good luck, hope all works out!!

You have not seen each other since you married?

How long did she live with you before you married?

If you look in the regional forum you will find many similar cases.

Sounds like they are doing a field investigation from the contact list you gave them.

They don't like marriage on the first trip and age differences and they will go around your neighborhood asking questions

to see if you are genuine.

It is not a good idea to send proof of money for rent and food as it appears to be payment for immigration benefits.

Also it will raise questions on how she will support both of you when you get here.

You have several red flags that they want to check.

Do as per instructions, if you don't hear back in 60 days, contact them inquiring about your status.

There is absolutely nothing else you can do at this time, AP completes for different people at different times, some

weeks, some months and some years.

As in Harpa's comment, there is not much you can do, but wait and hope for the best. You still have a chance as they put you in administrative processing and did not reject you on the spot, which happens. I am also much older than my finace, but I travel to see him every few months. It does put a big burden on me financially, but it is so hard not to see each other. In your case you did not see your wife for over 2 years, which could be another red flag. Hopefully, they approve you. Just be patient and hope for the best. Good Luck!

Hi everyone,

My name is Ben, I live in Lagos, Nigeria, my wife is my petitioner, she is a an American citizen, the first time I attended my interview on July, 2, 2013, I was refused under 221g and our petition was returned back to USCIS and after we submitted the neccessary missing documents it was re approved and another appointment date was issued to us on June 17, 2014. During my interview at the embassy the Consular Officer did not check all of my documents he only asked me that..Do u have your wedding pictures here? which I did and he later gave a contact form to fill, the form contains information of me, my wife, my relatives, neighbour and friend, after filling and returning the form back to him, he went inside, he later came back and gave me a white paper and also returned my passport back to me. He said please u need to give us more time for administrative processing.

This is what was on the white paper he gave me:

Dear Applicant,

Your case requires additional administrative processing, we will contact by email or phone as soon as the administrative process is complete. Please do not return until we have contacted you. If you have not heard from us withing 60days of your original interview date. Please send and email to ask for an email to LagosIV@state.gov and request an update.

You may return at 1:00 pm on the day u are re invited after the administrative processing is complete.

Sincerely,

Consular

Please help me on this. Ben

This is a simple case . The Consular officer has a nagging suspicion about your case and until he satisfies his basic instincts you will remain in administrative processing aka full investigation/background checks of your entire being! So, I hope you don't have any hidden skeletons. Sending feeding money to a USC during difficult times isn't a big deal unless it was for an ulterior motive. Bottom-line: If the checks turn out clean then you will receive your due.
