Hats off to you Dwheels....

This world is running bcoz of good people like you. Its a big stuff to b a motivator for others in such adverse situation. Proud of you! Stay happy n stay blessed. We all are family only. Keep it up honey!

Hey okay just to make everyone feel better about their situation I have to pull out the big guns and point this all at me. (yes its about me now. LOL) :luv:

See 15 months on April 12th, 2013 3 days before my husbands interview my life change because I found out he married someone else on April 1. Yepper. End of my journey to be sure.

Well I got my CEAC update that the Petition has been cancelled as of July 20th ( can you believe its been sitting there all this time ).

"Section 203(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act requires that your registration be canceled and any petition approved on your behalf canceled, if you do not apply for your immigrant visa within one year of being advised to do so.

You were advised of this requirement over 1 year ago, but we have not received a response from you since then. As a result, your application for a visa has been canceled and any petition approved on your behalf has also been canceled.

Your application may be reinstated and any petition revalidated if, within one year, you can establish that your failure to pursue your immigrant visa application was due to circumstances beyond your control. Please provide a written statement to the Embassy or Consulate outlining the circumstances beyond your control and noting that you still wish to pursue this visa petition."

Anywho, needless to say my journey has been over 15 months, but I am still here making sure all of you make it to your destination with your love ones and families.

I say all this not to get pity but to show each of you that at least you have something to look forward to no matter the delay. I know, I know someone saying to you "at least its just a year or 2 out of your life when have a lifetime together".

But you know in the grand scheme of things it really is just a temporary delay for a lifetime of joy happiness and unexpected twist and turns. But guess what, you get to do it with the desire of your heart the love of your life. If that doesn't warm your heart and make you say "let the system be damn, soon I will be with my baby". Then well I can't help you.

I want to congratulate all the new interviews flowing in and I know there will be more this week. Case Completes, Welcome to the group and Visa approvals wooo whoooo.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers and I will be here as long as the Good Lord says to keep a light on so people can get to their real journey of life and love. (L)

**Special Note: Now I by no means am saying venting, crying screaming complaining or even whining at this time isn't warranted. That's what this thread is for the Good, The Bad and the oh so Ugly...dare I say DOS. :ranting: :ranting: :protest:

Come on now. This is the government now. (Goodness had to break the mood I see tears. Don't cry for me Argentina. :goofy: hehe (L)

Keep an eye on your case status, and as soon as it says "READY", contact them! Like bdrew said, I'd recommend having the medical completed already if possible before that, but we asked for an earlier date without having doing that and told them that his medical exam was scheduled.

My husband's reply when I asked if he was going to phone.... " You want me to phone again??? "

He phoned already on Monday, guess it's up to me as usual to phone tomorrow at work. I don't have international roaming at home. SIGH!

Cheers! Have you tried calling the NVC to see if they have scheduled you for an interview yet?

One question, I have been to the states a few times during this process with no issue. However i have been offered 3 interviews at the end of August for 3 great roles ... do you think (if i have my interview letter) that if i state this when entering the US it will be an issue?

Do you currently have a work visa? I think the employer can get in trouble if they offer you a job before you're a permanent resident. Not 100% sure on that, but I'm not sure if going to a job interview on a VWP entry is a great idea.

I would be careful mentioning job interviews to the CBP, even if you have an interview letter. The letter isn't a guarantee that you will be approved for a visa.

I think it'll be ok. The VWP is for pleasure and limited business use, info below from the DoS website:

The following are examples of activities permitted while in the United States on the VWP.

  • consult with business associates
  • attend a scientific, educational, professional, or business convention or conference
  • attend short-term training (you may not be paid by any source in the United States with the exception of expenses incidental to your stay)
  • negotiate a contract
