Thanks - I think we'll do that. By the way, I am not happy with Pony Express. My wife and her son interviewed last Friday, so we hoped they would be able to fly here this week. He received his passport back promptly on Monday, while hers was issued (per CEAC) on Tuesday, then given to Pony Express on Wednesday. I've been tracking it on their website and it hasn't changed since yesterday morning (34 hours ago). So now it probably won't be delivered until Monday at the earliest, and another weekend is shot. She called and they couldn't tell her anything, "just wait." Sure, no problem...!

Just another potential stumbling block to be excited about thanks for the heads up though. Hopefully in 2 weeks I'll at least have the chance to be upset about Pony Express...

Yeah, I've said as much more than once. He knows he's authorized to work, knows he doesn't need an SSN to apply. We worked on his resume together and he's started a collection of job postings he's interested in, so really he's ready to go, but he wanted this sorted before submitting applications anywhere. I'm not sure why, since being able to work immediately after arriving was one of the few things we liked about the CR1 process. Just a new thing outside his comfort zone I think, he wants T's crossed and I's dotted to make sure all is well before moving ahead.

All I can say, really - aren't relationships are fun?

Usa embassy Delhi did enquary to call my neighbours and asked some questions. They tell them all that marriage is real. My interview is on August 07th but embassy did inquiry before interview. Is it bad or good signals?

interesting.. no mention of anyone calling neighbors in my case

It's indescribably better dealing with messes together rather than with an ocean between us, but it would still be nice if something would just work as intended for a change At least they're consistent...

Hi, I was just wondering if you have an idea of how long it took for your status to change to READY from IN TRANSIT ?

mine is still in transit status even though the our package was received on July 21st (3days ago)

Our status first showed "In Transit" on 14 July and finally showed "Ready" on 23 July... So it took ours 9 days

I started looking at the DHL tracking system for the 14 July and saw a package that arrived on 18 Jul... I thought that surely our package was in the group, but freaked out that the Embassy wasn't changing the status to "Ready". Then I realized that a DHL package was sent out every other day to our embassy city, so now I figure that maybe our package wasn't sent out until one of the later shipping dates, even though the status said "In Transit". This would explain the perceived 5 day delay in the change to "Ready" from when I "thought" the package arrived.

In truth we don't know what date exactly our package leaves the DHL shipping center in Boston, so maybe the same thing is happening to you.

Trust me I know it's nerve wracking to have to wait, but it will get there. Just give it a little time.

It would only be bad if they said you weren't married or you had another wife or girlfriend. They do sometimes for some do field investigations. Nothing to worry about. Good sign neighbors know you and know you are married.

My medical hascompleted 18th july. I have got envelope sealed medical reports. I do not know if medical report is ok or not.

Well you will find out at Interview. I think usually if you failed for some reason or have issues they tell you at medical. At least I thought they did.

It's a common happening in Nigeria. lately the CO's have been giving some immigrants what is a "Contact List" and they are to list people they know whether family friends in Nigeria their address and phone numbers. They are put in AP and now the field investigators do what they do. They can be in AP 9 months like one of my friends or a few weeks.

It's common in many places sometimes you never know, cuz many times the field agents are out there and will observe. And they are local people so they are their to observe and look and you never even know. If they ask questions sometimes it so low ow discreet you don;t even know you think you are talking to the local whatever about whatever.

I know of this field investigations in Philippines, Pakistan, and India to name a few that I know specifically of.

thanks but my package left NVC on the 15th and arrived in the consulate on the 21st, I know this because I called the embassy and they confirmed receiving the DHL package, today the 25th still showing IN TRANSIT (10days now)

I guess I will have to call them to find out

what if your neighbors said you weren't married out of spite?
