My fiance and I are anticipating obtaining her k-1 visa in hand sometime in October/November. We would like to have a spring wedding in April or May. She has a current tourist visa to the US as well. Is she able to enter the US under the tourist visa after obtaining the K1? We would like to have her enter the US with the K1 VISA sometime in February which would allow the 90 day marriage period to extended into the Spring and thus a spring wedding. Any help would be appreciated.

Like another poster stated, sort of, when the K1 visa is issued and placed in your gals passport her tourist visa will no longer be valid. And, once your gal enters the US after the K1 visa is issued you guys will have the 90 period to get married. So, if you guys want to wait until next spring to get married you are going to have to adjust when she enters the US.

Best of luck!
