Quite simply, none of the male mods here appear to have the ability to use common sense in any of their decisions and they are most inconsistent with the decisions they make. I have seen both Kathryn and Krikit admit they had made a mistake at one time or another and then work to fix those mistakes. The men just attempt to dazzle you with bs and go about their way. Except for Ryan, he just disappears and doesn't answer for any of his decisions.

LOL. Well it is men's nature to not admit being wrong. We see it in debates here all the time. I still think the whole thing is, just refusing to not reverse yet another one of Ryan's disasters , when the easiest lowest friction thing to do, would have been for Ryan to move it back, and say, no problem glad I could help. Because in the end it does not hurt one thing to have it in CHEST. Now it's what we call here a Peeing contest. They are not going to move it back, because of the I will show you factor. That never plays well.

I don't mean this personal, but if you are in a leadership position, then you are going to be critiqued.To be honest what I really don't understand, is why, if you have one Mod, that always seems to create a storm of controversy anytime he sticks his finger in the pie, no matter which faction of this forum he is dealing with, it is always the same, why do they continue to allow him to Mod in this forum. We go for weeks, having fun, teasing each other, etc, but every time he appears he has the same effect.

I got a 24 hour suspension for making comment in the Miami flooding thread in reply to an off topic one liner. Yet n the same thread I was the recipient of several direct, off topic personal attacks. TBone ignored those until I went back and reported them.

Do the mods actually read the threads before making decisions? If the TOS violations were present when the suspension was handed out shouldn't the others violations in the thread have been dealt with at the same time.

Similarly TBone split off the 'Marvins Potential Good News' thread but left it in CEHST until this stuff with the 'CEHST gets personal' thread. Then apparently that needed to be moved in order to appear consistent.

What kind of decision making is this?

The damage has been done, I'm not going to beat a dead horse. I do wish Kathryn was around to get her input, I don't always agree with her, but I do respect her.

I'm just glad that this here current events and social topic thread of yours was allowed to stay in CEHST.

That's exactly what I'm talking about with regards to using common sense and being consistent. It's a freakin crapshoot.

Harpa summed it up pretty well with one word, "daft".

If you're going to be in a managerial/authoritative role, you're never going to be liked by everyone. But at least be thorough and consistent, that will garner people's respect.

Yeah removed a comment of mine, another poster made false accusations about what had been posted, and then later my post was shown again. No explanation. Go figure.

Moderation is overly heavy handed to the point that it has started to detract from users' enjoyment of the site.
