Hi guys..I did interview last 21 may and now I'm in administrative processing because I was missing a document.

The problem has been in the form DS-260 in question:

"Are you the spouse, son, or daughter of an individual who has violated any controlled substance trafficking law, and have knowingly benefited from the trafficking activities in the past five years?"

I had to answer YES ( just for 5months yet I could write no, cause in october will be 5years)

I sent them police certificate about my father, and now wait for the decision.

You believe they can deny me the visa? I'm so worry about that..all my documents are perfect, my police certificate too are clean..

Someone has had a similar situation?

Yes they can deny you. But lets hope for the best about it. Hope decision come soon for you.

Did you pay attention to the second part? Knowingly benefited from the trafficking activities?

In other words, did they gift any drug money to you or give you free drugs or anything they bought with the drug money, and you accepted it knowing it was the proceeds of drug activity? If not, your hands are clean and the correct answer is NO.

I know I saw that also. OP why did you answer YES. Did you know your father was trafficking drugs and you got benefit from this behavior i.e. money, well anything that money can buy even food shelter, etc)?

I answer yes for the first part of question, but in the second the answer is no!!

Is so unfair...if I'm okey why I have to pay for what my father did?! ....after 2years and half of waiting..I can't believe

so my father don't live with me, my parents are separated from 10years.

Did you make it clear the answer to the second half is "NO"? It is a compound question really only calling for one answer.

You are right that you should not pay for your father's sins if you innocently accepted drug money believing it to be legal parental support. That is why they added the second part of that question in. You only have a problem if you accepted drug money knowing it to be drug money. Doing that is actually illegal.

I hope they sort it out and come to the conclusion that your answer is no and that is the end of it.
