I-129F Children of my Fiance

I am applying for the I-129F for my fiance who has 2 children but his children are staying in his country. Do I need to include information on the I-129F form when it asks about his children if we are not bringing them? I thought it was only if I was also applying for them. I wanted to mail this today....

I would suggest putting in their names them anyway... it won't necessarily affect the application even if they don't intend to come to the USA... but that's just me

Yes, you list all children regardless if they are following to join or not.

You list all children on the I-129F, as it asks. They will not necessarily apply for a visa, but they still need to be listed. If they are not going to accompany the parent to the US, then they simply will not apply for K-2 visas when their parent applies for their K-1.

I have the same issue and since they are not going to come then why list them? Who would ever know?

I read a post on here from another person who had a Cuban fiancee. They listed his child on the form and it caused a huge delay, extra documents and headache. It delayed the process and I can't remember the end result but I do remember reading it and thinking to myself.. uh oh I don't want to put his kid on the form.

I would imagine that as the government here can find out anything about us, just as my fiance's government can find out anything about him. I do not want them to think that we are hiding anything and by not listing something/someone and signing it, it could be taken as lying I would think. I am going to list them as everyone has suggested.

Pepper44 - maybe they listed their children in the wrong way? My godmom who was brought to the US by her american husband listed her 2 children incorreclty and it caused a big delay so maybe the was the case? I would do as much research as you can just to make sure

Who would ever know? The government when conducting background checks perhaps? If the children are never listed on any of the forms where it asks and the CO asks them at the interview if they have any children, what will the answer be?

There is no extra documentation of the children listed on the I-129F. They get listed. That is it. There is no documentation to provide about/for them.

fiancé(e) (if any).

When it comes time to fill out the DS-160 to apply for the K-1 visa, it will again ask about your children. It will ask if they are traveling to the US with you, and you will check No. They will not fill out their own DS-160 forms, pay the fees and apply for K-2 visas. No documentation for the children.
