AP after interview - Will June retrogression impact my visa?

My pd is July 2013. Do you have any update with ur case now?

No.. I check my case status everyday from 27 May (the date I had send documents to the Consulate)

Is update on 3 June, I think that day they put my documents in the system...from that date no change..

How many applicants are you? In my case i am the principal and may status is AP while my two kids are READY! the last update they made in ceac was june 18 2014. Do u think i am affctd by retrogression? Till now no email yet from nvc. Waiting in vain day by day. Do we need to wait for the 60days?or no more hope at all...

Just me, I'm the only applicant in my case..Maybe because you are the principal applicant...or maybe because there is something missing just with you, not with your kids..Can I ask to you why they put you in AP?

They have your passport? because in my case they ask to me if I can leave mine to they.

I don't think retrogression can have effect..we have had, so if everything went well we would have visa..I think our visa are considered separately...I hope...

Try to send an e mail to your Consulate, second week of June I ask to the Consulate how much this can take and they told me that, this process take from 1 to 4 months, and they contact me via e mail when this process is completed...

Still on AP.

My interview was MAy 21, 2014 an F2a category. Almost everyday i check my status at ceac, mine is AP while my 2 children are READY. RETROGRESSION is almost 23 days now. I have'nt received any email from NVC about our case.

Is there a hope still for our case???

Your visa will not be issued because as of June 1, 2014 your priority date is no longer current because of retrogression. Priority dates moved back to 01MAY2012 for F2A.

You will have to wait until your PD becomes current again. Nobody knows when that will be. If your medical exam has expired by that time, you will have to re-do it and re-submit docs that have expired as well (like NBI clearance).

There is no opt-out for retrogresssion; if you're in a category subject to it then it's applied, and no amount of prayer, wishing (much the same thing) or anything else will change that.

I have every idea; my green card didn't just fall from the sky. There's prayer, and there's being realistic. Those two things are not always the same. Take from my posts what you will; the ignore function is available.

I don't take advice from people who've been on the site for five minutes, either.

Those of us whose green card applications are subject to visa limits understand what you are going through. Remain strong and hopeful.

It is very hard being separated from our spouses and children and not knowing how long the wait will be to have our family together again. So let's hope that something changes in October.

F2A category is an unfortunate category to be in - our spouses and children should be treated the same way as spouses and children of USC. .

In the meantime, enjoy the summer....and don't wish the time away! Keep us up to date with your case.
