For those who received news by text etc - when did they cash your check (if you sent a check)?

I got texts and emails on may 15 and they cashed my checks on the 16th.

How does the USCIS know where to email/text the notification to?

I filled out the G-1145 too. It asks for emails and phone number so that USCIS can inform you if they get your package. if you didn't fill out the form, maybe thats why you haven't received the texts. I would call them if I were you.

Hi guys,

I sent our forms last Saturday (May 17th) and was delivered by Monday (May 19th), but as of now, Thursday (May 22nd), I haven't got Email nor text message. Does anyone know if it's normal or it is delaying?

Thanks.

I think it is normal. I sent my package on may7 and got the texts on may15.

And congrats to ao2419 about the biometrics appointment. I sent the package 2 days later than you did also got texts 2 days after you but now it is already 2 days after you got the biometrics appointment, I still have not received my appointment yet. I am now started to get more upset because my home country just has coup d'etat going on and this delayed biometrics thing. :( I hope I don't get RFE.

Anyway, good luck to you all.

Thanks! Don't worry about the biometrics. I'm sure it'll come through soon. I wonder if it has some relation to your local office?

Congrats, sheepo101! In case you didn't know, even if you didn't sign up for the texts/emails, you can register at https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/CaseStatus.do to keep track of your case progress.

Btw, are you filing from the Bronx or Dallas? I'm in NYC and would be interested in keeping an eye on your timeline if you're in NYC, too.

Thank you, Melibelle! I just registered

I filed in the bronx last year and the case was transferred to Texas due to staff shortage (yay for us :) ). The NYC application took us almost 7 months before they transferred us. I hope yours moves a lot faster! Also, we are moving back to Texas soon, so it all worked out. Sad truth? I have no idea how to create a timeline like everyone have under their posts :(

My package arrived to Chicago Lockbox this morning at 10:29am signed by someone called J.Chyba. Browsing around other forums this person has been around for long time and in the past the applicants whose package were signed by JChyba were having issues of not hearing from USCIS in weeks, got RFS or package was returned. Crossing fingers that is not the norm now. I

MrsHall99, I am crossing fingers for you. It's sad to hear that people who are supposed to help this already grueling process become easier, only make it harder. I hope this isn't the case for you!
