just a note to let fellow members know...songsang and I went to SSN one day after her arrival ,POE Chicago,with passport and copy of I-94 which was already in the system, she was told that she will receive card in 10-15 days.

Hey Steve, thanks for the tip, I did not know this could be done. I just got done printing the I-94. Is there something that needs to be done prior to going to an SS office ?

My Fiance is coming through JFK today and will be undergoing the same process. I'm under the understanding that they don't give out I-94's any more. She is just going to ask for her DS-3025 and hopefully they will give her her copies of her vaccinations so we don't have to pay a civil surgeon to do it all over again and she gets her passport stamped and is clear to enter. Then she will go online, look up her I-94 and print it out for her social security number that she will get after two weeks pass upon arrival.

rick and mavis....no need to wait 2 weeks....songsang`s I-94 was retrievable on-line next day after POE...she also had a copy of her ds-3025 but I don't know about Ghana embassy.

Thanks for the heads up on the SSN#! We will definitely go pick it up tomorrow then. JFK never gave her back the DS-3025 so we will have to figure out where that went. The physician in Ghana said he couldn't give her a copy.

the DS-3025 should be in the sealed envelope but if it is not completed correctly you will get a RFE after you file the AOS and have to se a civil surgeon for a I-695 updated supplemental medical form.

Do they give you the number directly at the SS office, or do you have to wait for the physical card to know the number?

And how many days did it take to receive the card in your case?
