My timeline looks very similar to yours. Hopefully what you guys said is true and there won't be an RFE in my future since I made it to the Testing & Interview stage. :) I'm more anxious about my EAD because I need to have it before mid-June, though.

One of the platinum members mentioned that the EAD is pretty routine and since you made it to Testing/Interview stage, the EAD should be yours soon. From researching the other members' timelines, I see that it usually takes two months from the date of first receipt of the application. We had a RFE that took us 3.5 weeks to respond to and my husband still got his EAD in 68 days. :-)

Hello everyone, I got kind of good news, So today I went over ( Walk In) to the Santo Domingo Consulate, and they told me that the I-130 form was Approve on tuesday. YEyyy. Now I have to wait until they send me the notice, and then the Consulate package. It may be another two months before I receive anything since the post office service here is almost non existent, but I least I know things are moving.

Good luck everyone!

So I went to my attorney today to turn in tax returns for my rfe and they told me I may not receive an ead but that the Atlanta office may skip it and go straight to the interview, they said the had a meeting with them concerning the length of time they are taking to process certain visas so they said they would start rushing them....has anyone ever heard of this happening?

Hmmm.... I have read in the forums that if you are approved for a Greencard at the interview, they ask you to turn your EAD card in on the spot, but if you get your interview before the EAD arrives and you get approved then they most likely will never send it to you. For more information, check out the "March Filers 2014" thread. A bunch of members have chimed in about their applications and it may give you some insight. :)

No, not yet! I've heard of people getting replies as early as 6 days after a response to an RFE is filed, but it can take up to 60 days after they receive it! Seriously, the government frightens me with the bureaucracy! :( I'll keep you guys posted. You keep us posted too! Good luck to all of us!

Hang in there - it's different for everyone for whatever reason. They are allowed 60 days to respond, and while I hope you don't have to wait that long, you have the right to contact them after that. My status got changed to Testing/Interview about 3 weeks after they received my RFE response but that is because it was only the 2013 tax returns from my joint sponsor that they wanted so I guess it was an easy and routine thing to process.

The waiting part is awful. I spent a lot of my time browsing the forums here and learning all I could just to kill time and ease my nerves - LOL!

Hi, I just got my Approval Notice. Last week I call the Post Office in Santo Domingo, and asked them to call me if they receive anything. I was very surprise for the good service that I receive. They actually call me this morning to let know they got it. So now I have some friends there that will call me as soon as they receive the other package.

Its a small step, but I least I think we will be ready by december.

Congratulations! We had our interview on July 1st and our stupid IO wanted to go to lunch so he handed us an RFE instead of an approval. We don't have a rental lease because we live at home with my aging parents, my dad's name is on our car because his credit got us an excellent deal, and since we live at home, we don't have utility bills in our names. Yes - the jerk didn't care about all the other awesome evidence we provided and didn't even interview us really to get to know us. We haven't submitted our RFE yet because we just had our official public wedding on July 19th and didn't want to bother ourselves with such negativity. Good luck to you - make sure you have all the evidence you can pull up unless you don't mind getting another RFE. Sometimes people get so freaking lucky and walk out of the interview with an approval after 5 minutes. We were not so lucky. *sigh*

That is horrible. A very popular lawyer here in the Dominica Republic always says that the interview depends on 2 things, all the proof that you might have and the mood of the person who will interview you. As of right now I am only worry for the Affidavit of support, since i haven't live in the USA for 5 years, I have no income there. Luckily we got 2 of our family to do it for us, and they both are way above the poverty line. But I am afraid that maybe something is wrong with them.

By the way does anybody know if I can take a copy of it, because one of the Forms got mess up. Can they send it via email, or fax, Will they accepted it?
