We were told it was above, we even own our home, they said we could use the value of that too but I guess not after all, not really sure what to think now, I have several people who said they would sponsor me so its OK, just waiting for the papers and knowing that every day I don't have them is another day added on to getting this over with, sigh its driving me crazy lol I'm very impatient....

I'm sorry, lukychmz. That truly is frustrating! Hang in there - when it's over, we will all have a good story to share! I feel so jealous of all these friends of mine who find love in the country and go to City Hall to sign papers, pay about $125, and they're a done deal. Those of us who want to marry foreigners? $2000 if you do it on your own and it's STILL not a guarantee! SMDH. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Yes, I also had an RFE and it was frustrating because we filed on March 4th, 2014 when our tax returns for 2013 had not been filed yet. We submitted W2s and 1099s for 2013, but it wasn't enough - they wanted to give us a hard time too! So it took 3 weeks for our joint sponsors (my brother and his wife) to complete their 2013 tax returns and get them to us, which set us back all that time. Other people who have filed around my time have already had their interviews and are getting their Greencards in the mail! We have to wait until July 1st for our interview, but that's fine because my husband has his combo card. We just wanted to make sure we were PROGRESSING! ;-)

Get your co-sponsor, fill out the paperwork, and you'll be fine!

Ah I HOPE your right! how long did it take for you? also i want to know if i am out of the woods with and not get a RFE

After researching other members' experiences, it does appear that if you can get to the Testing/interview stage without an RFE, that means your application looks good and they're ready to see you in person. They can still ask for an RFE AFTER your interview (ie. More proof of bonafide marriage, etc.) but your technical stuff checks out so far! Ya did good! I was pretty proud of myself when my husband told me I must've submitted a sound application if the only thing they asked for was just the 2013 tax returns! When he prepared his O1 visa extension by himself without the help of a lawyer, he got a full list of requests - LOL!

Our application status got changed to Testing/Interview on May 19th and we just got our text that we have an appointment schedule on July 1st today, so it took 10 days in between status update and notice. I'm praying it's the same for you! :-)

LOL - yes! I printed the list of potential questions from the VJ forum just so we know what to expect. My husband and I have been together for almost 8 years so I can't imagine how we could bungle our interview, but it's better to be prepared! :-)

My timeline looks very similar to yours. Hopefully what you guys said is true and there won't be an RFE in my future since I made it to the Testing & Interview stage. I'm more anxious about my EAD because I need to have it before mid-June, though.
