Do we need to send the proof of ongoing relationship for the I-129F packet?

Keep in mind that it is not REQUIRED to provide that stuff with just the initial I-129F packet. When it is time for her interview you are then required to send her all of the information for her to provide to the consulate to show your on-going relationship, while providing this information is fine in the initial packet sent to the USCIS it is not a MUST. #### long as you provide airline tickets, passport stamps, a couple of photos of you together, and the other additional info it requires you to have with the initial packet you are fine....

What to send to your fiance(e) once the I-129F is approved (Receive NOA2):

1. A copy of the entire I-129f package (that you made when you sent the petition in) and a copy of information that you sent back due to an RFE (if you received one). Your fiance(e) should review this information in advance of the interview (the embassy will have copies of this as well).

2. Send copies of the documentary proof that you submitted with the I-129F for your fiance(e) to have on hand for their interview at the embassy. Your fiance(e) should review this information in advance of the interview (the embassy will have copies of this as well).

3. Send an original letter affirming your desire to marry your fiance(e) and your continued support of the K-1 Visa. Sign and date the form. This will be similar to the letter you provided with the I-129F, but dated much closer to the interview (it will have most likely been several months since you submitted your I-129F).

4. I-134 Affidavit of Support form. Ensure it is signed, with all required supporting evidence. Begin collecting the required information ahead of time, as it can often take several weeks to collect it all

5. You will need several items (for the above form). Gather duplicate evidence of income and resources as appropriate:

(A) Statement from an officer of the bank/financial institution with your deposits, identifying the following: 1. date account opened; 2. total amount deposited for the past year; 3. present balance

(B) Statement(s) from your employer on business stationary showing: 1. Date and nature of employment; 2. salary paid; 3. whether position is temporary or permanent (also include copies of your last two pay stubs and your previous W-2 for the associated employer if available)

© If Self Employed: 1. Copy of last income tax return filed (or IRS transcripts); or 2. report of commercial rating concern

(D) List containing serial numbers and denominations of bonds and name of record owner(s).

Begin collecting these ASAP after your NOA2 arrives. See this FAQ for more tips and useful information on the Affidavit of Support Form.

6. A copy of the NOA2 that you received in the mail. (backup information; the embassy will have copies of this as well)

7. Proof of your ongoing relationship. This needs to be taken to the interview! Include photos, travel documents, emails, online chat logs (pick several over the prior few months), etc.. from between the time you filed and present (NOA1 until date-now).

Examples: Copies of land line and cell phone bills, appropriate emails and letters you have sent including the stamps on envelopes (to document the date they were sent), and other written documentary proof. Provide a reasonable amount; two to four of each type. Pick a range of dates up to and including the present. You can also include a copy of engagement ring receipt (this is something that is a big optional - do not worry if you do not have a ring yet!)

Edit: I submitted it with mine. But as of the time I filed, we'd only seen each once, for about 2 weeks in America. By the time we likely get NOA2, we will have seen each other again & will have more evidence as I'm visiting Germany to see her in mid-July.

We have already prepared the proof of ongoing relationship. so now We are just a bit confused if we should pass it as well.

Does most of you guys here didn't pass the 'proof of on going relationaship" along with the I-129F packet?

I send some proof of my relationship with my petition. It was about an extra 30 pages, so not much extra really.

WE didn't........but some of the proof of relationship evidence was also our proof of meeting in person evidence......for example.......a photo of her wearing the engagement ring I presented to her taken in front of a historic landmark to prove we were where we said we were as part of our meeting. I included the receipts for the ring to close the loop that I did give that to her....which also served as evidence of a relationship.

If you are to submit the "proof of ongoing relationship" like pictures for I-129f, then this is considered proof of meeting within the 2 years prior to petition filing. But other evidences like texts, skype chats, video snapshots will all be considered secondary proofs and does not necessarily have to be a lot. 20 pages should be considered more than enough. It's all up to you how you present it. Choose the significant correspondences only, like those exchanged during special occasions. Always remember that quality is more important than quantity.

Its called front loading. Its a good idea to include more information than less within reason. I included enough that we weren't even ask for more proof at the interview. Copies of a few photos, boarding passes, train tickets, things like that will go a long way.

Use photocopies, take the originals to the interview in case of questions.

My husband did that.. When he filed the I-129f. He at least sent 2 sheets of photo copied of our first met, his Itinerary, ticket and all the other bills such as hotel, restaurants and other stuffs like that. And you must importantly need them when you go to embassy for your interview.. Some consul will ask you bout those proof but some of them won't just even bother to look at it..

I've seen people on here say that they got a RFE for not showing evidence of when the relationship first started, not just the meeting. So I included print outs of Facebook showing we became friends on there in 2012, 3 screenshots of our Skype log (showing the very earliest I could find that had a comment in it to show it was me he was Skyping, one from a few months later, & one right before we met), then I included two screenshots of us actually video chatting in Skype. I guess these are technically the proof of ongoing relationship, but after seeing they got RFEs for not showing when/how the relationship was established, I just included visual evidence to support what I said in my I-129F Q.34 supplement. I actually had him write out his version of the same thing for our "circumstances of meeting" & I included his right behind mine. I guess I frontloaded, but it was all in support of things that had been said/shown in the original requested documents/evidence.

Always take originals of everything to the interview!
