Congrats on all the latest approvals!

I had my medical in Toronto last week and it took all of 35 minutes - not what I was expecting. Parking was available outfront and I paid $6. My interview is next Thursday in Montreal!

Just an FYI for Canadians, some people claimed they havent received the email but the embassy is advising to bring the petitioner's ORIGINAL birth certificate. My binder of information weighs about 5lbs - I am so ready for all of this to be over!

Has anyone on the Feb Form, who has been approved already, receive their EAD yet? How long did it take for you to receive it?

Good luck Nicvno!!! I'm looking forward to finding out how it went. :)

As for EAD, we're still waiting for Johan's. A LOT of people who filed back in September are getting theirs already, and here we are, filed Aug 2nd, and still nada. :( It's supposed to take 60-90 days. and most are. but we're currently sitting at day 94. :ranting:

Thanks Tina! Wishing Andy could be here for the interview but he can't take work off and someone has to take care of our dogs.

Positive thoughts for Johan's EAD - I just wish that they would think to approve it as part of the K1 process... very annoying to not be working for that long!

Our K1 visa was approved today! I (the USA petitioner) flew to Malaysia to be with my fiancee' for our October 30 appointment. The interview went great except for one hitch...there was not an embossed stamp on the certified copy of my old divorce decree. Once I got back tot he USA, I had to FedEx another certified copy that had the stamp on it that you could feel to my fiancee'. We then emailed the embassy for a second appointment to deliver the document. She delivered it today and received approval. The people there were great -- very nice and kind. The interviewer was very nice and did his best to put my nervous fiancee' at ease. Towards the end of the interview, he invited me in and explained that our case was clearly legitimate and our evidence of relationship was outstanding. The only problem was that "the process is very document driven." Therefore, regardless of how perfect everything else was, they needed that embossed page from my old divorce decree in order to process the visa. My fiancee was heartbroken, but the kind interviewer assured her several times that the visa was approved...we just needed to add that one certified document to the packet.

She will be here mid December and we will be married before Christmas!

Help, freaking out. I keep reading about the brown paper envelope needed at Port of entry which apparently contains original documents. All I was given at my interview was my chest xray disk and a white folded/sealed envelope that seems to refer to my medical. It's got the knightbridge stamp and date of expiry. Am I missing something or is this the correct envelope???
