My AOS interview is in 2 hours... in Baltimore. My husband and I will be taking the metro there in about 30 mins. I'm so nervous! We sat up all night reviewing files and evidence and photos... blah! I know it's always one of those "easier than it seemed" situations, but we're still nervous wrecks.

Wish us luck!! I'll let you all know how it went... hopefully good news to follow!!!!!

09/18/06 - Mailed AOS

10/04/06 - RFE request I-485

10/11/06 - RFE response rec'd by USCIS

Hey guys

It was such a nervous morning.. The hardest part was sitting on our behinds waiting... for 2 hours past our interview time to get in. The interview was at 9:45am and we only got in at 11:45!!! The entire room cleared out before we got in.. we were so nervous.. I was like omg why on earth are they taking so long!?!?!

But anyways, we were interviewed by a really nice guy and he apologized for the long wait. We sat down, pulled out our HUGE binder with tons and tons of documents.. and he didn't look at about 85% of it. We were almost slightly disappointed that he didn't after all the work we put into it!! Oh well. He didn't even ask how we met, when we met, or anything. Just went over my I-485, asked if I knew my own birthday, my husband's birthday, and then wanted to see proof that we lived together, our birth certificates and a few photos. We pulled out a photo of ourselves with Carlos Mencia and he laughed his a$$ off!!!! hahaha he was seriously surprised to see that and said he has seen the show hehe

He then said ok thanks, I will recommend you for approval, expect the card in 2 months (2 months!!??!? oh well) seems long, but my name check is complete so now I just wait. Baltimore isn't as scary as it seems when it comes to the interview process. All the couples who walked in and out of the interview rooms looked satisfied tho my husband was the only guy to squeeze me in the waiting room and give me a huge kiss to celebrate our approval :)

We then went to get him a passport, and then celebrated with early dinner at Cracker Barrel heh
