Im going over the questions on the DS-156 and it ask have you ever been refused a U.S.Visa. My fiance applied for a visitors visa almost a year ago and was denied. Is this the same thing?

Yes, be honest, say yes and it won't be a problem. The K-1 has a completely criteria for approval than a tourist visa does and it won't be a negative at all. Best of luck!

Answer that question truthfully. It usually doesn't matter (depending on reason of the denial). My fiancee had her B2 denied in January of this year and we just received the K-1 approval earlier this month.

It won't represent any problem. I was actually denied 3 visas before I got a visa last month.

Like everyone else said you have to declare it but wont be an issue, I was denied a student visa and then sent off our k1 app weeks later and wasn't a problem at all
