Hi guys,

my wife's PD was Apr 1st and was transfered from NSC to CSC. I keep checking the USCIS's page and it still see this:

"The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office"

my question is: if my case was approved will it show up on that page or 1) we have to call to find out 2) wait for NOA2 in the mail?

Also, i currently have a certifed copy (with official stamp) of my wife's birth certificate will that be enough or do i need to send NVC the orignal?

Thanks!

Hi, approval will show up on that page & you will also receive email & text message if you signed up for text message. As far as the BC here are the newest guidelines, they don't list certified copy as acceptable anymore, but you can call the NVC to check. This was a grey area for many, and I didn't want to send originals, but I am.

Good luck!

Birth Certificates

You (and any family members immigrating with you to the United States) must obtain an original birth certificate issued by the official custodian of birth records in your country of birth, showing your date of birth, place of birth, and parentage. Important Notice: All Immigrant Visa applicants must submit a long form original birth certificate. Short form birth certificates will not be accepted.

The certificate must contain the:

Your date of birth

Your place of birth

Names of both parents

Indication by the appropriate authority that it is an extract from the official records

Well this is ridiculous. I just submitted an online inquiry and they say: I should expect an answer by October 2nd... Oh dear... I mean... !!! wow! How come they transferred people from a center that was not gonna make the national time goal and meanwhile we are stuck with an office that clearly is NOT gonna make it either? This is so much frustration it is unbelievable.
