Hi!

We're just getting ready to start filing for the K-1.

I have a worry regarding the requirement of showing proof of meeting in the last two years (I'm the petitioner). My fiance and I have been living together for just over 2 years in Canada. I came to Canada in November 2011 and have since not traveled anywhere else (including back to the US), so that means my most recent boarding pass and passport stamp are over two years old. We have other types of more recent evidence for having met (such as photos, etc) but will the fact that it's been over two years since I've had any traveling activity pose a problem in my application? Is there any other solid way to prove that I am in fact in Canada?

Thank you!

edit: I also cannot find the boarding pass for my first trip to visit him in Canada. However, I have a passport stamp. Still, it's from 2011. Is it useless now, in terms of adding to the application?

Do you have a lease, utility bill or other proof of living in Canada? That is much better than photos and old boarding passes.

Unfortunately I don't :( All of the household bills are in his name. My phone number is under his account, but I don't know if that proves anything. I have mail that my friends and family have sent to us (Addressed to us both), and I have receipts with my name on them from doctor visits here. Also, our online chats and texts have a lot of details that allude to our living in the same household, but I'm worried that won't be enough either.

well you could include the dr receipts with an explanation but maybe a notarized letter stating you are infact currently in canada with him and that way you have a 3rd party attesting to that.

Oh! I just posted another topic about this a minute ago, regarding notarized documents. If that works, it's going to be the only evidence I have. Thank you so much.

The phone under his account, if your name is listed on it too, is helpful. The doctor bills and other receipts are primary evidence. Old boarding passes were not going to be much help for your situation. Using debit or credit cards while living there? Show those receipts too. Have things that show you both live at the same address? Use those. Affidavits from friends and family attesting to the fact that you live together could be used in your case as well. Just put together as much documentation as you can that you are living together.
