My husband and I just got an interview date for K3. We didn't think it would even go as far as receiving an interview date due to some interesting post and comments I received and read on VJ.com.....my question is, as the petitioner, do I have to be present at my husband interview? It next week and last minute fare prices are no joke! Please help . Thank you

It's not a requirement, but it seems to help in many cases. You can look at what other people from Ghana have done, or read reviews in the country portal to see if it's really important for that consulate.

April 27, 2016: I-751 mailed

May 2: I-751 received

May ??? NOA1

May 12: Check cashed

May 31: Biometrics appointment scheduled

June 1: Biometrics appointment letter arrives!

June 2: Biometrics walk-in

Congratulations on your interview date. I'm not sure how much notice I'm going to receive before hand so I most likely wont be attending if I don't get at least 6-8 weeks notice prior to date. My job won't let me take off work otherwise but for K1, petitioner attending interview is not mandatory. Did you fill out your DS-160 yet? They just emailed us our notice that they mailed a notice for us to receive to gain access to pick up our packet next wednesday. I'm not sure what this DS-160 thing is still and when to fill it out.

K1 Visa AOS

10/21/13: I-129F Sent 07/12/14: Married

11/01/13: I-129F NOA1 (Texas Service Center) 08/20/14: (I-485, I-765, I-131) Mailed Out

02/19/14: I-129F NOA2 (110 days) 08/26/14: NOA's received (Nebraska Service Center)

03/04/14: NVC Received 09/17/14: Bio Appointment

03/07/14: NVC Left 11/14/14: EAD & AP Approved (86 days)

03/13/14: Consulate Received 11/18/14: EAD & AP approval letter received

04/09/14: Packet 4 Received 11/20/14: EAD Card Received!

04/24/14: Interview Date - APPROVED (174 days) 12/11/14: Potential Interview Letter received

05/18/15: Card Ordered To Be Produced

Hi SPOE, am currently thinking of doing same since my wife's paper work got sent back to USCIS.when did you file your I-130 if you don't mind me asking.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
