Hello, I'm a newbee at VisaJourney.com ( just registered today),

Just sent my I-29F today from Dallas, TX to the Dallas Lockbox. I guess they will file my case at TSC.

Can anybody give me an estimate of how long will it take for my fiance to get his Visa approved in Lima, Peru. I know time varies depending on MANY factors, but I just want to have a general idea. So if you could give me an idea of how long i will need to wait, that would be great!!!

Thank so much... and I hope you understand how anxious I am for this whole process.

Welcome to the forum.

:guides: easily accessible at the top of the forum page, in particular, the K-1 Guide and Flowchart:

http://www.visajourney.com/content/guides http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1flow The Guides have lot of great information and answers to many of your questions. Processing times are all over the place, dependent on many variables, check recent threads in the K-1 Progress Forum for more information.

While you are waiting for your petition receipt notice, :time: It helps everyone that uses the forum. You may want to correct your profile, right now it indicates that your Naturalization application has been approved, yet you just filed the initial K-1 fiance(e) petition.

Please remember that this visa journey is not a sprint, but rather a marathon....pace yourself..... :clock: can drive a person crazy!:blink:

Good luck on your visa journey.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)

Welcome to VJ!

No clue. Will give a general time of 4-10 months from filing the petition to actual visa approval. No one can really answer this for you. Immigration is a waiting game, at every stage. You can check the timelines of others that went through Peru in order to get an estimate or see how it long it took from their petition approvals to get an interview there.

~ Moved from K-1 Process to K-1 Progress Reports - topic is about case status ~

You will be able to determine your service center (TSC vs CSC) when you receive your NOA1. All I-129F applications are sent to the Dallas lockbox - then sent to TSC or CSC from there. So just because you send it to Dallas doesn't mean you are going to be at TSC.

You will be able to get a better idea of your estimated approval time when you enter your NOA1 and correct service center on your Visa Journey timeline. Once you enter that information, VJ will give you an estimate based on others who have entered their information from your service center.

The wait time between the NOA2 (petition approval) and the interview date varies from embassy to embassy. You should be able to get an idea of what the norm is for Peru by searching other Peru timelines here on VJ.

Welcome! :)

Hi,

Have you heard anything about you NOA2? Have you called the USCIS now that you are at the 5 months mark?
