It would seem to me that some are actually processing faster than five months! At least, that is what I pray for. I think we're hoping for around 2 and a half months.

Goodness, I don't really like weekends now, because we know the good people at USCIS can't do anything for our cases on weekends. I'd almost rather it be Monday already, so at least we know things are moving.

Good luck and blessings to you too!!

Oh wow.. I didn't know about that weekends thingy.. So starting today, I'll start hating weekends too..hehehe.well, anyway, I just hope that all of us have the chance to make the long process short.. God bless to you too.

I was just checking my timeline estimation date on VisaJourney (as usual) and I was very happy to see that the estimation changed to be 10 days sooner than the one before :) I think this means that things are going faster in TSC (at least a little) and wanted to let you know because I know how we all long for a tiny bit of hope! :)

Good luck everyone!! :)

Good for you.. How would I know the status of my application using my timeline?

Ho-ho-ho!!! What a way to start my day.. I am at the bus going to work when I saw a pop up message from USCIS so I immediately read and it says:

On April 7, 2014, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case.

I am soooo happy that our case is showing some progress!! Time to wait for the NOA2 patiently :))))))

Also, would someone be willing to explain ONE more time, what it means when they change your alien registration number? Sorry, I know it's been discussed before.

I'm right there with you. Sent in our I-129F also on Tuesday, 3/4 and USPS confirmed delivery on Wednesday, 3/5. I know NOA1 will come soon, but I'm already anxious so I can't imagine my level of anxiety while waiting for NOA2. Gonna have to continuously pray for patience! :)

As I saw on your timeline that you got your NOA2 on March 31 how fast. Wish we could also have a faster processing for waiting is killing us. Lol

We got ours changed last 5th of this month. I know it's not that significant to have this change but at least we know that someone is no looking on our papers. We got the hard copy if NOA1 same day as well. Patiently waiting for NOA2 now. Hoping that everyone will have a smooth process on their application and if possible a faster one.

Hi everyone, I was just reading all of your posts and notice the "change of alien registration number". We got our NOA1 last March 6 but as I was checking my fiance's email, there hasn't been any notice regarding his change of alien registration number. Plus my case wasn't touched as I check it on the USCIS webpage. Can anyone give me some insights regarding this? It'll we very much appreciated.

When your Alien Registration Number is changed it simply means that the beneficiary of the petition has said number assigned to him/her in the system. This is basically the way they can associate things back to the beneficiary such as background checks and documents.

If you've received one it means your case has pretty much been sorted and put into the giant boxes for processing - now it's just a waiting game. Even if you haven't, I wouldn't worry - the USCIS site sometimes misses a step when it comes to reporting. If you got a NOA1 you're fine.

I agree! Sometimes, throughout the work day, I picture what the USCIC agents are doing; sipping coffee, gossiping about other service centers, attending meetings where they discuss codes, forms and how to deal with stacks of applications 400 feet high. :) But I saw on USCIS website that not as many people applied for K-1 in January, at least, so that is good news for those of us who applied later because there aren't as many people ahead of us. Even so, bless all those who apply, any time they apply. This waiting game stinks for everyone. But at least we have the VJ community! (and lots of movies to watch! :) )
