I actually think the NVC are ruder than USCIS, this guy I am speaking to now has zero idea and is very very rude…...

So it seems I do NOT get any sort of letter from the NVC with my details on (like the USCIS I-797C) is this really correct????

Also, to get my Hong Kong police certificate (as I need the "letter") it seems I have to send my stuff to the NVC (DS260), wait for them to review it, send me back a letter stating i need a police check, then get this from HK (which takes 4 weeks), then they will case complete… adding 6-8 weeks to my processing time…..

Does anyone know how long it takes for them to send out the checklist letter and then review once you send the documents in?

Also, why am i told 8 weeks from USCIS to NVC?

Also, to see if you case has been received, do you give them your USCIS number… i.e. MSC139xxxxxx….?

Hey Saylin,

Quick question, I know that my wife needs to get her medical done. Does my daughter need to get her medical done as well, even though she is a USC through the CRBA process? She has all her shots thus far, but just wondering if she also needs to go to an American approved medic.

Thank You.

If your daughter is a USC, then she's not immigrating, thus no medical needed.

Yes she is a USC, but she has never traveled to the US yet (waiting for wifes visa), so I don't need to worry about it when they go through immigration at the POE.

Hey BOS_LHR, can i ask, what exactly do the emails you get from the NVC state? Do they have you name and case number etc…. When they assign you a case number do they not send you any letters (such as USCIS and the I-797C NOA's)…..

…. I ask as (see my post a few posts back) I need this darn letter and doe guy told me I will get nothing from them….
