I've noticed number of December filers getting NOA2 or further along in the I-129F processing,

so I called USCIS (1-800-375-5283) for the first time since I've not heard from them since

Dec 19, 2013 NOA1.

I didn't have to wait at all, and someone answered the phone right away.

She checked the status and told me that TSC can take 5 months to process

the application, so she asked me to just wait.

I don't know how they are processing, but obviously its not always first come first serve

as I see folks that filed after me getting NOA2 or further in processing.

I asked her about the CSC and she told me they are taking same amount of time as TSC.

Unfortunately, there is no same-range approval for I-129F for everyone is here. The CSC that we have seen here where folks got approved very fast is only based on people who posted. And a small fraction of total I-129F petitions from around the world. I, for one of many users on VJ, got lucky had been approved in 38 days at TSC and only took 2 weeks - they always saying wait up to 8 weeks- before had my case number from NVC and forwarded to listed consulate on my I-129F.

We got told the Same thing when we called. We are november filers and have been waiting now for 3 months.. The woman on the phone said that there are so many applications handled at the same time they can't say how many are still before you. Basically just random case pulling out of the pile seems like. Unfortunately we can only wait untill we are one of the "many" that they work on..

I think that's their "stock" answer. Just like "8 weeks at the NVC", or "60 days for the service center to send your case to the NVC". When in doubt? Quote the stock answer.

I went through TSC and they approved in 17 days. The country is the Philippines which i guess is getting a faster look. I called yesterday and now have the Manila number and lets see how long it takes till they pass it on to Manila! I think about it all the time.

Man, it took us 85 days and we supposedly got an expedite.

TSC sent it to NVC on Feb 13th. Now still waiting for MNL visa # so we can schedule an appointment with Embassy in Manila

VJ estimates my NOA2 to be before Feb 7, but today its already Feb 21.

Just because they tell you it will take 5 months doesn't mean it will. That is probably their standard answer based on their average processing times. And honestly it used to take that long if not longer to get an approval. My last petition was approved in 3 months at CSC...and that was FAST compared to the current averages (from VJ timelines not USCIS). So don't sweat it if its taking a little bit longer than 2 months to get your approval, just be patient and you will have it in good time.

They can't do that, because of the "out of order processing" that they do for whatever reason. What I think would be a STUPENDOUS idea would be if they allowed someone to "follow" a case through the system, and document what happens along the way. I don't know about you folks, but I would be more at ease knowing that they had to do 457 things before it changes from 1 stage to the next, and that each of those things is done by a different person, etc.

Remove some of the black box nebulousness from the process. (Shoot, I would be willing to document it, and to allow them to view it before publishing, to ally any fears that we'll give away their fraud prevention measures).

Slow your roll, you should have know going into this it would realistically take 5-6 months. Especially from Ghana.
