This is going to be my last day all alone...

We were stuck in AP for 33 days due to a silly mistake my fiance made, and after he sent in the required document the consulate sent him a new 221G requesting something else, talk about torture! My fiance got his visa in hand this past Monday. I'm going to drive to Toronto to pick him up tomorrow and we'll head back together on Sunday. After 9 years it's finally happening, finally!!

Congrats!!! So happy for you :) .

How many filers on this thread are still waiting for their visa? Is it a good guess that all of us will have our visas this year?

Philippians 4: 6-7. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

I told him he needed an original or certified copy of his birth certificate, I said a photocopy would NOT work. He listened to someone else and brought a photocopy anyway. :bonk:

Good luck on your interview!!

So here are my today's question's my dear fellow visa journey friends.

On Monday it showed "case ready" at New Delhi, so as everyone suggested, we finally yesterday submitted the DS-160 online. I the petitioner hasn't received the letter from NVC yet saying that case has gone to New Delhi, but of course after calling they told me and gave me the case and invoice id number. I would like to know where do we use the invoice ID number. I did see the requirement on the DS-160.

1. So can we schedule an interview date now even though I have no paperwork except the NOA 2 and NOA 1?

2. She hasn't received anything from the embassy yet, I know she needs the "packet" to get the PCC. They wont let her get it without a hard letter

3. I see that a payment is due, once the DS-160, should we pay it now, or wait and please advise where to pay it.

4. I am not sure if I have missed something, but please advise if I did. Thanks all again

Thanks in advance.

Hey, our interview is in few days, and I filled out DS-160 before our case arrives at that embassy (transferred from one embassy to another). So here are my thoughts:

1- I think so, the only "paper work" is the DS 160 form, the rest of packet 3 is evidence of relationship, passport, picture for visa and medical examination

2- They emailed me the "packet 3" not even my fiance, and asked us to pay the fee and schedule the appointment ... it's nothing but a list of documents that you can find in VJ, just search for the embassy and packet 3.

3- I'd fill out DS-160 first, because in order to pay you need to provide confirmation # from DS 160.

4- No that's pretty much it :)

As this was my 'original' thread before our NOA2 and subsequently moving onto the UK forum, I thought I'd let you know I was approved today.

Best regards

Last communication i got was that the visa had left NVC, that was back in the beginning of August. My Fiance filed DS 160, and we waited and waited for packet 3 to arrive. i finally emailed the US consulate in Sydney only to hear back that packet 3 supposedly had been emailed to me ( the petitioner) back in Aug with an interview date for Sept that had come and gone. Total shock and horror ensued at that news. My fiance now has another interview date set for next week, but since he never got packet 3 with plenty of time and instructions he will be heading off to interview w/o his police clearance complete. The consulate had a correct email for me, but i never received anything, and besides we always thought that my fiance would get the instructions, not me.

Moral of the story, if you think there is a problem be proactive and contact the embassy or consulate. The worst they can tell you is to wait.

So VJ people, fingers crossed his interview is on 10/14/14.
