after 186 days...i received the notification that my K1 visa petition has been approved!!! i received the text and email at 8:31pm CST.

i filed a total of three service requests after i reached the five month mark. two senator inquiries and one online service request.

the second senator responded last monday (6/30) and said my petition should be approved within the next 10 days. i think this was the inquiry that assisted with my approval.

congrats !!! we have 176 days from Noa1...and we couldnt filed any service request until now.

CONGRATS AGAIN !!! so happy for you !

There are many of us waiting, but if i understand this timeline (above - quoted from "jfgk1987") they've been approved and filed in January -

so it would seem that they are working on January petitions now - which can give the rest of us hope! am i right? --- i hope so!

grasping for anything to hold on to - this process is so straining ----- but makes us grateful for the time we will be soon granted together

with our partner.

They aren't working on January ones...still processing "December 3rd or 8th". Many of us have gotten our Senators involved to help set a fire under TSC to get things moving. JFQK as you quoted, got his Senator involved from NY. Mine from CT is also involved, and I filed January 9th. Let's hope more January filers are processed quickly with the help of all of our Senators!

thank you!! :) just curious...what type of service request did you file? with the USCIS or a senator? i know some people were having trouble getting help from their senator...even after the 5 month mark. i hope that you will hear something soon!

YAY!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! #SenatorsGetThingsDone@TSC!

i agree! i really think the senator inquiries are getting it done. there have been a few cases of people filing an online service request and receiving an approval. but it was unclear if the request actually did something or if they were just a "lucky one" whose case was already being reviewed.

and thanks for the congratulations. :)

We COULDNT complete a service request ....

oh, sorry..i misread your original message. i'm not sure of all the details of your situation - but i hope you are able to receive assistance soon. not being able to file a service request after 6 months is not fair. although, being at TSC...you know first hand that this process can be very unfair at times. keep trying!!

So senator involvement is key ? how do you find out which senator to call / mail ?

Thank you so much if you can help - those of you who have done this.

and congrats to those who've been approved !!!!!

(L)(F):star:

it looks like you are from virgina (or your fiance is from virgina). if you google "virgina senators" it will show you your options. they should have instructions on their websites for submitting an inquiry for help with a federal agency (look under something like "services" or "constituent services"). If they have a privacy form you can download on their website - download it and send it, along with a copy of your NOA1 document, to the fax number or address provided. then wait a day or two and confirm they received it. and stay on top of them about following up.

Senator involvement is DEFINITELY key! Maybe all the Senators will come together and realize there is a HUGE global problem with the TSC!

Yes! I contacted mine after the 5 month mark. One senator said it was still in processing time....the other senator disagreed and sided with me 100%!!!! So I definitely think once its past that 5 month mark that USCIS puts on their website, you have EVERY RIGHT to contact your Senator...especially when USCIS tells us on the phone to wait an additional 1-2 months to make a service request (after waiting 5 months to begin with.)
