@wayneli613 :: I'm sorry I don't get to 'quote' using the mobile version of VJ. He sent the document saying he allows the people from the senator's office to look into our case. You can usually find it online on your senator's office's website. We both called them n they sent it to my fiance per mail, he printed it out, filled it & faxed it back :)

THANKS A LOT.

I wait until next week

Yes, my fiancee contacted him, he already assigned somebody for our case, but when my fiancee spoke with somebody from his office, that woman was so bitchy with her, and she said " I think I can try "

Now my fiancee will contact the congressman , to see what he will say.

Hey guys, I'm going to contact my senators too. Do you recommend emailing them or just sending a mail? Also, is there a sample for the letter you guys sent? Just want to make sure it's effective one :)

we called them, it was easier to explain, they sent us an e-mail with a form to fill :)

Today is 5 Months since I've sumbtted the I129F. I spoke to a USCIS case office and she said they are currently reviewing applications from December 3rd. I asked if there is anyway to expedite my application and the case officer said the only way to expedite is if there is medical conditions, financial hardship, natural disasters. I told the case officer my finance currently lives in Italy and must give atlease 2 months notice to his employer before leaving. In addition, becuase the US Embassy in Italy is very far from where he is located, we decided the embassy he will be going for the interview (if approved) will be in his country of citizenship (Romania). I then asked to expedite the application as my fiance will be unemployeed from the end of July until his arrival to the United States. The case office said the USCIS will contact me in 5 days will a response and if approved I will have to provide suppoting documents.

Has anyone requested your case to be expedited with the USCIS? What was your experience?

Dec 3rd is the generic answer they're giving to everyone. Same garbage have been told to people since two months ago and they're still saying the same nonsense. So, it's all b.s. to just brush you off to the side where you can wait indefinitely.

i received the same response via my senator about two weeks ago and there has been no progress with my case. i don't mean to discourage you...there doesn't seem to be much order in the way TSC approves petitions sometimes :) so maybe you will hear something soon. there could be some sort of hold up with my petition.

after i received that message - i was hoping i'd hear something within the next week as that seemed to be the experience of others who received a similar update. but alas...nothing. maybe this week. ;)

Ok. Sorry re: multiple posts.

I caved and contacted my congresswoman. (PS Any NYS residents with issues, call Sen. Gillibrand's office they are so nice!).

Not sure if this has been covered, but all I did was call her office directly. Her staff asked me a few quick questions and all they ask you to do is fill out a form, fax it in with a copy of NOA1 et voila, they will send out the beacon.

Let's see if they get back to them with better information that they'll give me!

I passed the 5 month mark. For some reason, I don't feel as impatient as I did before. more like a it'll happen when it happens type of attitude now. I guess being busy at work has a big part to do with that. I am glad to see people being approved 2-3 weeks after the 5 month mark.
