Hi everyone,

I just wanted to know if anyone knows about the current I-129F that's posted on the uscis.gov site; it's expiration is 12/31/06. I will be completing paperwork and filing this month and not sure if I should wait around for a new form.

I appreciate any help.

1st K-1 Journey:

June 2005 - filed

October 2005 - visa interview

March 2006 - AOS packet mailed

DIVORCED

June 2007 - Interview

2008 - 10 year approval

07/28/07 - AOS paperwork mailed

07/30/07 - Received at lockbox

09/18/07 - Biometrics

10/15/07 - Transferred to CSC

01/09/08 - AOS approved w/o interivew

11/01/09 - Lift conditions

11/01/10 - interview to lift conditions/10-yr card

01/01/10 - 10 year approval

i would definetely wait for the new one if i were you. Keep in mind yesterday was new years, and today is a Federal down day in observation of former president Ford. Im thinking that they will have the new version up soon. If not by the end of the week, give the misinformation line a call (uscis hotline)

I would get all your documents together that you will require to send in with the I-129F and when you are ready to send it in, I would use whichever form that is on the USCIS website.

The worst that can happen is that they will return it to you requesting the new form. But, I doubt very much that they will as long as the only form available online is the one that you use.

05/??/06: Rekindled with fiance

10/20/06: Proposed, with a yes!

12/23/06: Met fiance in person after over 6 years

12/24/06: Engagement party in Vietnam

01/01/07: Went back to America

01/03/07: I-129F Sent to CSC

01/08/07: NOA1

03/26/07: NOA2

04/04/07: NVC Receives case

04/13/07: HCM Consulate Receives physical file

04/24/07: HCM Sends Out Packet 3

05/03/07: Packet 3 Received

05/07/07: Packet 3 Sent

06/23/07: Packet 4 Received FROM honest neighbor BLOCKS away (sent to wrong address, actual receive date ???)

07/12/07: Interview Date!!! BLUE SLIP

08/31/07: Went in personally with sound advice from M.E. and got the PINK SLIP!!!

we just sent our papers using that form that says it'll expire on 31st, on 29th. Some people here says it should be fine :thumbs: .. we really can't wait longer so we mailed it off already ;)

11-12-2008 Sent AOS, EAD, AP via USPS

11-13-2008 USCIS received the papers @ 3pm!

11-20-2008 3 NOAs

11-24-2008 check cashed

01-05-2009 Recieved Biometrics Letter on mail

01-12-2009 AP approved! / EAD touched

01-29-2009 Biometrics Done

01-30-2009 AOS Touched

03-09-2009 EAD Card Production ordered

04-07-2009 Interview

06-23-2009 Re-scheduled interview.. approved!

when will I file I-751?

I would recommend downloading the most recent version from the USCIS web site and filling it out by hand. When you are ready to file, download it again, fill it out and send that in. If it is the same you should have no problem. The government usually gives some time before they stop accepting old forms.

I called this morning and spoke with a representative, and they said it would be fine. I sent mine out this morning; Now the countdown begins!

07/??/00: Met Fiance
