Is it true that once the violence started in Thailand that the USCIS started processing k1 visas faster for Thailand? If so would the USCIS start to do visas faster for Ukraine since the civil unrest in that country really reached a breaking point yesterday....

This is a question that I have..My K1 visa is in Texas right now and I am really concerned about all the violence in Kiev. My fiance lives in Kiev and the entire city is basically locked down. Is there any way I can get her K1 NOA2 faster? I am sure calling USCIS would not do any help but do you think if I wrote a letter to my senator would it help / hurt??

I would think that everyone knows what is going on and what is at stake.

My bigger concern would be at what point would they stop accepting petitions?

How would i go about this? From what i read calling this USCIS if its still under 5 months is a no-no... Been all most 3 months since my NOA1

I don't think it's a "no no" per se, more that they usually won't be able to tell you anything before that point anyway.

I just called an opened an expeidate request based under "Humanitarian Sitatuation" because of she lives in Kiev and is scared of all the situation of what is going on there. I am not sure how much it will help but all they can do is say no.

What did they say? I am going to do the same thing but my finacee doesn't live in kiev, but i am going to say the country is unstable because well it is right now.

They really did not say much..just that you will get a response in 5 days. She did not sound very optimisitc but then again they are robots over there when you talk to them. When you have the city you live in in a lockdown situation what other sitation is there?

Disagree about they processing K1 very fast here !

there are many women here are waiting for K1 about 6-9 months sir.

And we exactly don't know how USCIS processing some case so fast but some case so slow ......

It's really hard to tell !!!!

You always can ask for an expedite case. Though it's NOT always guarantee will be approved.

No, there was the beneficiary of USC petitioner from the Philippines that got approval for expedited 7 days after NOA-1 because typhoon. Which means only 7 days from NOA-1 to NOA-2.
