Hi saylin,

My document guy made a minor typo on ds260.

The town where the green card will be send to. he typed in Napervillee, the correct spellings is Naperville... Should I call NVC? Street address and zip code is all correct.

Thanks.

This is outrageous. I've sent several emails and just sent another one today to NVCinquiry regarding my application. We are out of the processing times. They don't respond to emails in a timely manner either. I sent an email to NVC expedite abd still haven't received a response. This is completely and utterly outrageous !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure the NVC has processing times per se... isn't that just for the NOA1 completion? I see that NVC received your petition about a month ago, so I would expect you'll successfully get your case number and IIN very soon if you call each day or two, or at least that seems to correspond to when others with your receipt date have managed to get their 'numbers' from the NVC.

What priority date is the NVC workin on? Based on NOA1 my priority date is Match 25. Is the NVC working on dates around mine? I don't understand the visa bulletin or how to read it. It has no information on CR1 applications.. Does anyone know. We are desparate, I am thinking of changin my address to my husbands London address maybe then things will go faster. this is getting to be utterly outrageous and infuriating. I don't know how much longer I can take

The visa bullet isn't the one for spouses, just click on Igor's list for the CR1/IR1 lists, found here:

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=2&visa=3&scenter=4&option=2&sortby=2

Also, can anything other than an appraisal be used for ownership of a house? I have the deed but on the deed the value of the property is not listed? Please if anyone knows.. Thanks!

I have read somewhere... now can't recall where, but it stated to use either an appraisal or the annual 'Property Assessment Notice', which is what I'll likely use. The notice is what the city bases each home's property taxes from.

Wohoo! Finally just got my case # and IIN # and handed over both our emails. Finally everything is back on track dancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gif

Congrats! Hope the rest goes quickly!!

Big shout out to Saylin for all the help! I got approved after my interview yesterday, and it wouldn't be without Saylin and others who helped out with expert and free advice. VJ is truly a wonderful place. Wish you all the best.

Congratulations! It's so exciting to hear of people's approvals, at ALL stages!dancin5hr.gif

The most consistent response is 20 business days after the "receive" date, if you're talking about getting a case number.

Yes we are waiting for our case number. It is really difficult, but we need patience. But I want to hear consistency from them. They give us different answers from whoever answers our call.

Saylin I need your help smile.png my father is my joint sponser and he will be using his property for assests, but here is the problem, we cannot find the appraisal for the house anywhere ? now I have the deed but that does not show value. Is there anything else I could provide?

I believe it should be on the deed b/c I got my deed today and it did have the asset value. Does it depend on state where you live? Edit****sorry I didn't read the post where you said th as t your deed doesn't show the value.

What isProperty Assessment Notice. My deed does have the asset value on it. Do u think it will work ?

The thing is if you have a mortgage.

Get the value of your property assessed by a professional or three (like a realtor.) Basically what you could realistically sell your house for in the current market. Then minus what is left of your mortgage. This is how much assets you have in your house. Keep in mind that the NVC or consulate may not accept using your ONLY home as an asset. Generally they only want to see assets that will not leave you homeless and jobless.

Find out the exact date as it could have just been last week, in which you're technically within the time frames still.

And no can do on Monday as it's a federal holiday, so both USCIS and NVC will be closed.

Don't worry about it. Just mention it at the interview. I'm sure USPS will be able to figure out the correct city either way as it's just one letter off :P

When sending I-864 or IV(DS260) info to NVC by email, what is the best way to do it? Create one big pdf with all the required forms and stuff in order with cover sheet and barcoded cover sheet, or several pdf file attachments in one email? I read posts 1 & 2 and also on the NVC site, and to me they kinda contradict each other.

And when sending packages by email there is no need to mail in originals, only to bring originals to interview?

Does this means I need originals for I-864(tax transcrpits, letter of employment, etc) also at the interview?

Not sure if anyone has answered this... I sent them as individual attachments as per the NVC instructions. I named them each with my case number and what each documentation was, one by one, as NVC listed. I thought best to just do what they had listed. I scanned all originals and will be bringing every original document, as well as photocopies (just in case they want to keep another copy) to the interview. No need to mail them when you're doing EP. I plan to bring the original tax transcripts, letter of employment and every other single document. I plan to have 10 times more than they will ask me for :) If I'm flying all that way, I'm not doing it twice, lol

I'd try to get a refund from your attorney for making such a stupid error.

But yes, as soon as you get them, mail them off. Doesn't matter who sends them. Make sure you attach the IV bar-coded cover sheet on top. And it'd probably be a good idea to put a cover letter behind that explaining what you're sending in and that it wasn't included in the original IV package. Also, it'd be a good idea to either write in pencil or include a sticky note on top of each original with your case number, full names, and dates of birth.

Hi Saylin,

Finally I managed to get the originals to my hand. I'm going to courier (UPS) them to NVC tomorrow morning. I have not informed my attorney and not planning to do so. Will that be a problem later? I'm little concern because I'm sending the original docs and my attorney has already sent one IV packet.

Another thing is I wanna make sure that I send all the required docs. I'm sending the docs in following order. Let me know if this is good.

- Barcode sheet

- Cover Letter

- Original BC (Sticky notes)

- Photo copy of BC

- Original Marriage Cert(Sticky notes)

- Photo copy of Marriage Cert

Thanks alot Saylin!
