Trends for the last 300 approved petitions

Hey VJers!

I wanted to share some data that I'm playing around with. I took 300 of the latest petitions that were approved (NOA2) according to updated timelines, and created a graph to show trends for each service center and where they are as far as approving our petitions. I removed all petitions from the Philippines and any that were blatant expedites (at least to my eye and from doing some research in the forum), and this is what I came up with:

Out of the 300 latest approvals, 200 were "normal" petitions. There were just a couple of outliers (1 approval in Vermont and 4 approvals with NOA1s before February).

Also, one thing to consider is that some people have not updated their timelines to show what service center they were transferred to, but they did update their NOA2 and it will show as an approval at the NBC.

Some other small details... there were a total of 4 petitions that were reported as originally going to a service center instead of the NBC, and were approved in their original service centers. There were 4 petitions that started out in a service center and transferred to NBC, and approved at the NBC.

... forgot to provide some important data, here are the number of NOA2 approvals by service center for those 200 "normal" petitions, according to our timelines:

California - 71

Texas - 47

Nebraska - 41

Vermont - 1

NBC - 40

Yeah but I wasn't sure which was more up to date.. I could try to reference those sheets to see transfers to service centers that are not reported on the timelines

actually, I don't know how accurate the timelines are as I don't think everyone has updated the service center they were transferred to. I know I didn't.

My info is on the spread sheets. Some people didn't even fill in the correct Country on their timelines. Armenia is the default.... So many people were on top of the spread sheets. August has gone willy nilly as they decided to add everyone whether they were transferred or not even though they were originally created to track the transfers.

I don't think petitions were being sent to Vermont until recently, so that's why there may not be any data.

Here is the same graph but with the data from the spreadsheets:

The main difference between the two graphs are the petitions at the NBC. It looks like Feb-Apr filers have not updated their timelines with the service centers they were transferred to. Also, May filers may not have the spreadsheets updated with NOA2s.

This is awesome!! Great job! I'm an April CSC approval. I'm not sure If I updated my timeline to reflect my service center but I'm going to double check now knowing the data could be used or helpful.

Just do not know why you would leave out one of the biggest K-1 countries in the world.,.,but nice job.,.,.with WHAY you used!

Philippines was excluded because they have expedites.

Vermont Service Center is not the NBC.

NBC = National Benefits Center = Missouri Service Center - receipt numbers start with the letters MSC.

Vermont is not NBC.

Vermont is not processing i-130s
