January 14 filler. no luck yet. still waiting on noa2.

tried everything you can say,, senator man ombudsman, infopass, uncounted USCIS calls, no luck yet.

our file is still laying in Department of record at newark local field office NJ.

Come to think of it, SHOULD it be in the Department of Records? Is that what a USCIS local office is called? Maybe the petition really has been sent to the wrong place.

Try filing for an expedite? If you haven't been adjudicated due to an error on their part, you technically qualify, but it might just be they haven't gotten to your file yet, or a background check is taking a while to get back to them. I think it could be worth a try since you have exhausted all other options. Unfortunately, some local offices are so slow they may as well be totally unstaffed.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

 

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

 

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

I agree with you with the expedite process if the window for processing is passed your priority date.

Can you guys do an infopass appointment ?

That would be HUGELY helpful

we did infopass last month

Did you speak to the head honcho there or one of the front desk staff?

Don't even know what to say when one hears that a case is pending one year...

Have you tried the following (I found it on USCIS webpage)

If you do not receive a response within 21 days of contacting the Service Center, you may contact the USCIS Headquarters Office of Service Center Operations by email at SCOPSSCATA@dhs.gov.

04/08/2014 - I485 updated to "transferred to local office"
04/12/2014 - Received transfer notice in mail stating file transferred from Nebraska to NBC Lee Summit, Montana (so disappointed as I thought it was at local office now).
04/14/2014- emailed Nebraska and scopscata to see what's going on with file due to conflicting info I've gotten and NBC doesn't even show processing I485.
04/14/2014- Got response from scopscata saying will look into email, forward to resolution team.
04/14/2014- I485 updated to "485 was transferred and is now being processed at USCIS office"
04/25/2014- Text message and case update online "testing and interview" stage.
05/06/2014- Text message and case update online with interview date of June 11, 2014.
06/05/2014-Notice sent by NYC acting district director/office that interview date is Aug 21, 2014.....??????????? No change online
06/11/2014 - Interview for AOS. I130 was already attached. Approved and got passport stamped. YAY. Thank God.
06/19/2014 - Case updated online with text and email saying new card mailed.....

06/21/2014-Condtional GC received along with welcome letter.

Ok, did they say that it was in the Record's Department at that office, or the NRC? (National Records Center) If you don't know, you need to call and find out where your case physically is (or do another infopass, and talk to a supervisor.) Darnell has written on here the exact kinds of questions that you need to ask to get the appropriate answers somewhere. I'll see if I can look it up in a bit. Just working on a hunch, here. I could be entirely wrong, but it's something to look into because if your case got sent to the NRC, you're going to continue not getting an answer on it.
