Got a very quick question. im going over the form for employment authorization and came accross with number 13, stating, place of last entry into the U.S. my question is, is that my first POE or my place of residence in the US? im still here in the philippines though but im trying to be ahead and got my ticket. already. i fly from manila to japan . and from japan to detroit, michigan, then to atlanta, then to jacksonville florida where my fiancee lives. my first point of entry is detroit, but my destination is florida which one should i put in there? thank you so much for those kind hearted people who are willing to shed light on this. thank you and merry christmas.

Florida4life is incorrect. Your port of entry is the first place on US soil you touch - in your case, Detroit. This will be where you go through immigration and customs, and where your packet will be collected.

Place of last entry into the US is your POE...the first place you stopped when you entered the US.

POE will be wherever they take your packet. If Jacksonville is your final destination then that's where your POE will be. You will go through customs there. I could be wrong.

This is definitely wrong information.

Your POE is Point of Entry. It will happen at the first place you enter the US. So, in their case, if they fly from Japan to Detroit, Detroit will be where they go through immigration, turn over the sealed envelope packet and is their POE.
