Hi.

I have a query about wait times.

on the 15th of november USCIS recieved our RFE and are assuming the next step is the interview, but it has been a month and we haven't heard anything back. I checked our status for our I-485 on the USCIS website and it says they will contact us. but how long does this usually take? it is making me nervous!

how long did it take for you guys?

It depends on how backed up the local office is.

Dallas seems to be under the hammer a little right now, which probably explains why you're still waiting to hear something.

how long did it take for you guys?

My friend goimg through same office had RFE and it took 10 months the other person same thing they still waiting after one year. RFE for AOS is off the ook crazy. Sorry.

Oh no!! thats insane on the site where I can check my status it says..

We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use the processing time information on our website to estimate when this case will be done.

Fingerprinting is done, just not interview, so the 60 days doesnt apply, and on the processing times table it says 12, feburary, 2013.. which is something about the last one they did.. I struggle to understand the way they explain things. I really hope its not months!

I think its about time you call USCIS. 60 days is a very reasonable time. During the RFE your application is on hold and its only processed again when you reply to the RFE. so start counting from the day they received the RFE and act based on that.

11/16/2013 - AOS Package sent via UPS ground shipping (I-130, I-485, I-131, I-765)
11/20/2013 (DAY01) Package delivered to Chicago and signed by CHYBA
11/26/2013 (DAY06) NOA Text messages and emails received

12/05/2013 (DAY16) Biometrics letter recieved for 12-19-2013

12/09/2013 (DAY20) Biometrics done in Buffalo (early walk in)

12/18/2013 (DAY29) I-485 status changed to testing and interview

01/06/2014 (DAY 48)- Interview notice for February 10

01/24/2014 ( DAY 66)- EAD AND AP approved

01/30/2014 ( Day 72)- EAD combo card arrived

02/10/2014 (Day 83) Interview date : APPROVED on the spot!! Passport stamped and card production ordered.

February 18 : GC received. Free until November 2016

Did you hear back from them yet? I'm going through the same thing myself .

08/08/13- married

11/14/13- Aos EAD package sent

11/19/13- package received noa 1

12/19/13- status changed to RFE

01/02/14- RFE received

01/04/14- RFE sent back ( wanted wife's IT return for 2012

01/14/14- they got my RFE

01/28/14- I-485 changed status changed to ready for scheduling

02/05/14- interview date for March 11 was mailed from uscis

02/26/14- EAD card ordered

03/03/14- EAD card mailed

03/03/14- EAD tracking number 2 day priority mail

05/03/14 - day 106 received EAD card :)

11/03/14 - interview day approved on spot !!!!!!!

12/03/14 - changed to post decision activity

15/03/14- received welcome to America notice (noa2) for i485 and I 130

17/03/14 - green card game ----- GREEN CARD AND ST PATRICKS DAY ?? Coincidence ????

Hi,

I received a RFE as well. From the day they received our response, it took about 3 weeks for the status to change to testing andinterview.

11/01/13- Mailed AOS Package
11/03/13- USPS update- Package delivered
11/08/13- Texts received for acceptance of all 3 forms
11/13/13- Received NOAs for I-485 and I-765. No I-130?
11/18/13- Biometrics Appointment letter received
11/19/13- Successful biometrics walk in
11/27/13-Received RFE
12/16/13- Sent requested evidence
01/08/14- Case status changed to Testing and Interview
01/16/14-EAD received!

06/12/14- Interview. Approved on spot!
