Second time around for us, first round unfortunately a refusal and our case was returned.

Starting over.

Since you do not have any other red flags I think you may be ok but would suggest another visit,

preferably be there at the interview. They are pretty good about petitioners being there.

While you are there take pics and submit them at the interview.

Hope you already send lots of relationship evidence with your petition.

It should not be too long until your NOA2, then about 1-2 months at NVC and about 3 weeks from there to interview.

Again your information is bad and not correct.

Not meeting in person within the last 2 years is incorrect. Filing the 129-f within the 2 years with proof is Correct.

Have you other things to do?

I'm not sure why you're following me around this forum to try to discredit me...you were wrong about your assumption in your last comment and you are wrong again.

Who is Eligible to File?

You must also have met with your fiancé (e) in person within the last two years prior beginning the K-1 Visa Petition process (filing the I-129F).

What I said:

The requirements of a K-1 are that you have been visited by your fiancé within the last two years.

I have "read" of at least one couple that was successful with one visit in Nigeria.

I'm still on the fence on whether or not Lagos deserves her notorious label. They do in fact issue visas spanning all the spectrums, tourist, K1, CR1, students etc

IMHO it's in preparation from the very get go. My only gripe with Lagos is them not allowing petitioners to attend the interviews.

Its interesting to read the various responses from fellow VJ members.

My fiancee and i were in a relationship for 2 years 9 months and she visited only ONCE spending 7 DAYS with me in Ghana. It was not an issue. The CO was rather focused on evidence of on-going relationship. Meeting in person at least within 2 years is the criteria and not the duration of the meeting nor number of meetings.

fraud referral sheet that they go by as guidelines and the CO can make a discretionary judgment call on

and either approve or refuse. How each couple wants to gamble with that is their decision.

Since they have met this is not an issue for the OP.

I know a lady personally who visited for one weekend (Nigeria) and they were approved.

Her boss initially told her she can have off and then changed her mind.

She was able to convince the CO with an employer letter that she can't have more days off or would

risk getting fired.

The CO approved them. He came, they married and after 2 months he took off to another state.

End of story on that one.

It depends all on your overall red flags, a good (front loaded) petition and the perspective of the CO

on that particular day with any particular couple. It is part being well prepared and part luck of the draw.
