Baby due March 12-14, 2014. She is still in Philippines.

I just got my I-797 couple days ago.

Any needle in a haystack chance she gets to Hawaii before my first born son arrives?

They do seem to be processing applications from the Phillipines really quickly, since the hurricane. Good luck and don't give up hope! (and congrats on the little one!)

Probably unlikely with normal processing.

Philippines Airlines will not let your fiancée fly after 35 weeks of pregnancy. Other airlines have similar policies for pregnant women. This means your fiancée must have a visa to fly by early February 2014.

With a NOA 1 for the K-1 on 8/13/2013 and an RFE on 10/21/2013, it's highly unlikely that you will be able to get a visa within 5 months of filing.

Unlikely does not mean impossible. It could be possible for her to get a visa in January.

Unfortunately, pregnancy is not a valid reason for an expedite. However, the US Embassy is expediting for those affected by the hurricane.

Contact the NVC and request an expedite based on the hurricane.

With it being December and you don't have NOA2 yeat, I would say that it is a slim chance. You still have to do medical, and interview prior to visa issuance, and I think that the Philippines requires another meeting before interview can be issued.

Agree with previous replies, though it is hard to say about K-1 processing, times seem to go up and down. To be on the safe side, you may want to become acquainted with the Consular Reports of Birth Abroad (CRBA) process at the Manila embassy. You also may want to check in at the Phil. Regional Forum.

There is only about 45 days until February 2014. Then, there is time off for Christmas and New Year.

It would be a wonderful Christmas miracle to get the NVC to process the paperwork, transfer the case to the US Embassy in the PI, and arrange an interview for a visa. There is also the PI's requirement for their citizens to emigrate.

Seems awfully tight with normal processing. This case may get through in time with expedited processing.

What I wold do Foray666 is call USCIS NOWish. Even though they are expediting many Philippines petition we can't assume the yare doing all.

Call them and get your petition expedited now. Call now do not wait for next week okay.

Slots for interview are being taken so fast. Last I read, the next available schedule is on April 16th. Unless your fiancee qualifies for expedited processing, then slim chance and oh, not to mention it takes 6-8 weeks to get case #s from NVC now.

Possible but tight. Very tight. Hope all goes well and congratulations!

Slim to none of getting her there before she gives birth. Only mid April appointments are available as of yesterday. I'm pretty sure its all gone by now and you still have to wait about 6-8 weeks from USCIS to NVC stage.

Another question: what happens, if my son is born, before she comes to Hawaii, what happens then?

Do I need to petition another application for him to come to Hawaii, or can she just bring him here to Hawaii without any paperwork?

Your child would be a US citizen at birth. Your child will need a US passport to enter the US.

You file a CRBA with the US Embassy to report the birth of a US citizen abroad. At the same time, you can apply for a US passport for your child.

Thank u so much for the info. I read the link. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope she can get here before then. Is there any costs she has to pay for? (Medical exam, questionnaire?) this has been a stressful process and I would hate to have her be here and my son would be in the Philippines. At least he is a USA citizen by birth though! That's good news!

Sorry, I am not familiar with the fees in the PI. You'll get better answers on costs in the PI forum.
