I got rfe today. Waiting for hard copy. Azim, they asked for additional evidence in your rfe.i checked my status and it asks for initial evidence !

What is the difference here? Additional evidence vs initial evidence. Cocolucho which one you got?

Someone please help.

Thank you. I hope it is something easy

I have not received the hard copy yet, but the USCIS website says this:

On June 9, 2014, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the requested information.

I guess we just have to wait and see what they ask. No worries, take a deep breath, I was feeling annoyed and everything else when I received mine, but the best thing we can do is relax and wait for the hard copy and when it arrives get everything they need and do it right so we get approve soon after that.

Cheer up, an approval is around the corner :-)

For the proof of bonafide relationship, we sent wedding pictures, pre wedding pictures. We dont have joint account yet or name in lease. So she added me as a beneficiary in her retirement benefits. We sent a proof of that. If they ask more proof of relationship , what can we show? I am confused, thanks for your help.

send them what they ask you to send in hard copy.it should be fine. dont worry

CBO, fyzah are you still waiting ? looks like Nebraska moved on and is approving later pd's :(

We are still waiting. My husband did give them a call a day or two ago, and asked to be transferred to tier 2 as we just didn't want to waste time. The lady was somewhat helpful and agreed to file a service request for us. She said that they may be approving people that filed later than us because they had a lower volume of intake for cases that day. It is all about playing around with the numbers. Overall the only thing we got from her was

1: December 3rd had a lot of i-130's

2:Our case was not with an officer

3:Service requests can be pretty useless, but we filed one anyway.

Congratulations to everyone that was recently approved :)

First contribution. :)

I was wondering the same thing, then I took my last 4 digits of my number and kept decreasing by 1, then by 10s, then I reversed the direction. I was surprised how many people are there with 12/24/ are. (my PD)

hang in there bud, it's happening,........ eventually.

After the callings and service requests for the error Uscis made we just got this response and our status chanaged to requests for evidence. This is really frustrating. The status of this service request is:We have received your request regarding the Notice to Reopen your case. That notice was sent in error, so please disregard it. The adjudicator has been contacted, and they will be sending you a request for additional evidence separately. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. Thank you for your patience

By going to this page

(not sure why my post above doesnt appear in full) ... you can check your case status by going to the uscis website and enter your receipt number. i also checked random numbers above and below mine and the amount of dec 23 PDs is huge!

Hi Everyone!

I received great news last night....I am a Vermont 12/5 filer....will update the spreadsheet in a few:

Application Type: I130 , IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity

On June 11, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

We DID request assistance from a senator's office and they couldn't have been nicer. I am glad we decided to ask for help as I believe they truly helped speed things up.. On May 21, they inquired on our case and informed that our petition was with an officer as of May 14. After not hearing anything again for some time, she inquired again on June 9.... here is the response they gave:

Good Afternoon,

Thank you for your inquiry on behalf of your constituent,_____ regarding her Petition for Alien Relative (Form I-130). We appreciate you including a copy of your constituent’s, signed privacy release with your inquiry.

The Vermont Service Center (VSC) received your constituent’s, Form I-130 on December 5, 2013. Currently this petition is assigned to an officer; however, as this petition is more than 30 days past normal processing times, I have submitted a request for the adjudication of this petition to be expedited.

Best of luck to everyone still waiting, As many have said, this process has truly been tortuous both emotionally and physically....we have a long way to go still, but this step is complete. I also want to thank everyone for providing information, updates and genuine support. While I was a more of an observer than participant on this forum, it really helped us get through. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

First time post here. Today I received this update;

On June 12, 2014, we transferred your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.

PD is 12/23/13. Does anyone know why it was sent to a local office? Does this mean an interview? We have both been married before, and granted our situation is slightly complicated (no need to go into that here), just kind of wondering what this means, since workload transfers ended last year?

Thanks!
